Born and raised in Passaic. I remember running these streets as a typical juvenile. Luckily I didn't make any life changing decisions that landed me in jail or dead. And honestly, Passaic wasn't a bad place...it was what you made it to be. Salute to all my fellow Passaic brothers and sisters who made Passaic great place and continue to do so.

I love these videos. It's been years since I've been in NJ but there's something about those streets and buildings that makes me feel at home again. Thanks.

This was marvelous. My mother's & Aunt Roses 's apts on Passaic ave was there after Third Ward Park. Fortsman Library where I checked out so many books from the 2nd floor to read to my children years ago. PHS, City Hall. I'd like to see a follow up video covering more streets.

I grew up in Passaic on Sherman Street. I was disappointed not to see Passaic Collegiate School, where I went from third grade through seventh, any elementary schools, and not a single synagogue.

Seeing this after moving from the city in 2002 (used to live on Hammond Ave, near the bank and Shop Rite.....if it's still there) bring back so many good memories of the time I grew up there.....before it went for the worst (those who lived through that know what I mean)

Lived here for many years. On Hammond and Gregory. It’s not as bad as it looks. Quite boring in fact. It’s great if you work in New York tho. You can get a gypsy van right into times sq for 5.50$ right at main and Monroe

I saw the one I went to as s child. At Hamilton Ave. and Monroe St. I noticed the “tour bus” paused at all the places that I grew up with that are gone now: Even my Junior HS (Wilson JH #12) . The places where all 3 theaters used to be:(The Capitol, Central and Montauk ) were recognized. The “tour” went down Hamilton Ave. but turned around in front of St. John’s Lutheran at Lexington and Sherman. I was hoping it would go down Harrison St. and show me my elementary school (Roosevelt #10). Other than the NJ Bank building at 663 Main Ave. and the churches, nothing is in Downtown Passaic that used to be. Of course, That was 50-60 years ago.
