I was on the Zephyr a few years ago when it made an unscheduled stop in Lovelock, NV, to remove a passenger. Sheriff was there to meet the train. The story I heard was that passenger had been rude to a dining car attendant, then they escalated and got into it with the conductor. Of all the places to be stranded by Amtrak, Lovelock is not one where I would want to be.

Good to see the special units on the NS OCS. The Reading unit has to "bee" ready. Also, it seems like La Grange city council may have to look into getting at least a flashing red light for that intersection.

Quite the mystery at Elkhart--lots of cops though. That meet at Austell and the three-way in Fairport were really cool, and it was good to see 4822 at the Curve and that lovely sunset in Waupaca--also, hi to the guy on the ship! Another great one--thank you!

I saw a video years ago of a woman getting kicked off an Amtrak at a crossing in the middle of nowhere. She had been painting her nails, of all things, and got quite combative when asked to stop. So they kicked her out at a crossing with a sheriff's car to pick her up. She was screaming about how she was going to get home, and the conductor was not my problem.

Sounds was ON in Elkhart 09:02 Grabbag-team turned it off. I think it should never be in it in the first place. No need to "advertise" such a behavior. The nice shinny CP loco and an inspection train (TRAINS !!) that passed soon after this are left out of this grabbag... That red NS-train 12:50 is like a prison: almost all windows are blind out.
