This song is a perfect reminder for me to appreciate what I got. First time I heard this was when I was around 10-12 years old. I was visiting my grandparents and while in the car I felt sad about something (don't even remember what) when I found this song and it made me feel 1000 times better. This is now my goddamn theme song lol

First time I heard this song I was driving a U-Haul with my mother’s furniture from Seattle to my sister’s house in Salt Lake. I was alone, driving through snow, after having settled my mother’s affairs (“sweep up and lock the doors for me, honey?” She asked before she died) I know it’s about a former girlfriend, but I had been 2500 miles away from my son and home for a almost a month and I sure was missing my momma and I was sure hating cold weather and snow.

I hadn't heard this one in a while. My reaction took me by surprise: tears. Which had probably been subconsciously building up for some time. It reminded me of someone I let go a few years ago. I knew I loved her (and still do), but was confused and somewhat lost at the time, so ended up making a misguided decision I came to regret when it was too late. Lesson learned the hard way.
