I also experienced the same thing..and its not only one person involved, almost everyone inside NAIA conspired..somebody approached me just before I reach the BIO and even after passing the BIO, another guy ran after me accompanied by a security guard...im about 50meters away from the entrance of the plane when they ask me to go with them for interrogation..they ask me how much money do i have , i said not much,so they tried to stop me from boarding..as i had no choice, i told them i will ring my grandmother who happens to be an RTC Judge, when they heard me talking, they said some words to each other like saying "tagilid tayo" and they left...thanks God...after that incident, i talked with my friends abroad and many of them were victims of extortion..if they sense that you are gullible they will try their very best without hesitance..I just hope and pray that they will stop this.

This is not an isolated case. I experienced the same thing when I had to travel overseas to attend a conference. She was not targeted because she's alone. I was leaving with other women (we are all from the same company) and I suffered the same treatment. I was planning to file a case back then ( I even told my family that I'm willing to spend my life savings for lawsuit fees), but I considered the possible implications to the company that organized the conference. To be honest, being interrogated and treated like a criminal was the most degrading thing that happened to me. That experience was traumatic.

The nation issuing the visa to the filipino takes care of the verification if it is really a legit visit or for illegal purposes, it is their nation after all. When she gets to israel she'll undergo through their screening process and be approved or approved by their customs on whether she is a legal visitor to their country. Ang trabaho lang dapat ng pilipinas diyan ay i-verify kung totoo ang visa at maayos lahat ng papel niya. The BI should only move if they had concrete suspicions that the traveler is not legit and it is up to them to work on proving their suspicion and not the filipina tourist work on proving her travel's legitimacy.

This is not the only offloading case due to BIs over questioning and irrelevant documents asked. If you google and check youtubes, a lot of filipinos voiced out their offloading experienced. Philippines is becoming like North Korea. As long as a passenger has valid passport, plane ticket and no hold departure order the passenger should be able to leave country without questions. Only court can decide if one can travel or not. BI dont have power to stop someone from travelling if theres no hold departure order. Even on their website, nothing that says they have authority to stop someone from travelling if theres no hold departure order. They cant stop you just because of speculation. I hope BI is aware that if a passenger will carry so much documents irrelevant to the travel, the host or receiving country might not let them enter. Its already difficult to get a visa or to afford to travel and being oflfoaded without refund or reimbursement is very frustrating. Some people like to travel solo or meeting someone in other countries. Its none of BI’s business.

Hindi sapat Ang parusang warning , reprimand, suspension, and retraining , tangal sa position dapat extermination of all corrupt BI personnel including their families . Kaya if given satanic power I'll exterminate forty percent of Philippines population para mahinto na Ang mga corruption sa bansa natin !

I had the same experience, way back in 2017, When i was interrogated by 2 BI officers at the back office where they even checked my phone including my emails, skype, messenger and txt messages. It took me about 15 minutes to answer all their questions. I was able to get in when the officer said to the other officer that he didn't see any trace. Perhaps any trace of illegal employment or whatsoever. Who knows what trace it is. My brother and I are bound to Singapore for a three day tour.

Been to SG many times Naman pero never experienced what you experienced. We were just asked about our hotel accommodation, our itinerary for our whole stay (I printed all the booked tickets of the places we plan to go to like USS etc), return ticket and the usual. The only personal question that the IO asked of me was like what is my job?.

Oh my. Same experience sa hubby ko. Ni offload nila kahit complete naman documents as foreign student. May stamp na nga passport nya from BI office na pwede sya bumalik sa country nila plus may nbi clearance pa sya. His acr card that time was pending pa sa school but he has document to support pero wala eh power tripping talaga ang IO. So no choice, bumili sya ulit ticket kasi he needs to really shove to their faces his actual ID baka mas kapanipaniwala pa ang ID kesa sa stamp nya sa passport lol. To make the long story short, mag isa ako nag travel sa country nila haha kesa naman both kami gagastos ng bagong ticket. Ang funny! Ako na tourist pinalusot nila pero yung foreigner na babalik sa sariling bansa nya ni offload nila 😅

@angel garcia it happened 2018 and up to now bitbit ko pa din ang trauma. I can still recall pinasa kami ng io#1 na yun sa isa pang io#2 kasi hindi sya convinced sa stamp sa passport, tas yung io#2 na pinagpasahan nya pumayag na at may pinagawa lang na letter na ifollow up yung acr card, tas pinasa kami ulit balik sa io#1, kaso c io#1 decided na iofflaod pa din. Ang gulo nila. Pwede pala yun? Isang io pumayag, yung isa hindi lol good thing the next day naka bili ng ticket and naka travel pa din naman partner ko😅 sad hindi lang kami sabay. Na una pa ako sa bansa nya na wala ako ka alam2x dun! Traumatic!

The Govt should do something sa Bureau of Immigration👍It happened to me & My Daughter before.. There's a lot of Questions like the B.Cert.of my Daughter..Our UK VISA..The Invitation of my Sister Who is a Nurse in London...& It took us almost 30 mins👍Glad that We didn't Missed our Flight..
@CanadianInPhilippines Жыл бұрын
I don't understand the Big News with her experience. This is Not New!! But good for her to bring it forward MAYBE things will change. In 2019 I missed a flight from Manila to Singapore after hours being interviewed with my friend. We were going for a 3-day weekend trip but missed the flight even though checked in at the airport 3 hours before departure and even hearing our flight being called they said too bad come earlier next time. I said we checked in as soon as we were allowed and we missed the flight and left the airport. Lost money because of missed flight:, Grab to airport, Grab back home, air ticket for 2 people and 1 night hotel (allowed to cancel the last 2 nights without penalty). I felt the Immigration Officer wanted cash to let us go to our flight but I refused to do that and as I said we were held with endless questions until our flight departed and we were still in immigration. Good for this lady for raising the issue hope they improve their outdated departure system/rules. They need to travel and see how professional it is in other countries and learn a better system. Checklist for next trip: 1. Passport 2. Cash 3. Credit Card 4. Vaccination Record 5. YEAR BOOK 😂

This is very obvious na may mga inside job yan sila jan. Akala nila, after nila kayong ma off-load,magre-rebook kau for another trip. At sa rebooking niyo na un magkakaroon sila ng commision from the airlines since they couldn't ask for lagay galing sainyo kc nga naman mahahalata?🤔
@CanadianInPhilippines Жыл бұрын
@@niccapasobillo2923 Wow I never thought of this reason Salamat after missing our flight and losing all that money (Grab fare 2x, our air tickets X 2, and one night hotel cost lost) I couldn't afford to rebook for awhile then never did again and have never been to Singapore - so too bad for airline and too bad for Singapore they got money out of me one time but not a second.

Sadly, they're still doing it even after her viral video. The only difference is they would let you go for as long as they see that you have a stable job and you can afford it. It was my flight last Friday and I'm traveling alone too. I thought I would NOT make it after seeing the same stupid process they did to her like asking me about when I graduated, my job, the money I have, my manager, the kind of company I work for, etc then in the end they asked me to talk to the immigration head officer... 😮😮 Akala ko ma-ooffload ako. But luckily I made it. ❤ Tingin ko medyo niluwagan na nila kase napahiya na sila because of this brave girl. Pero pramis!!! Ganun parin mga tanong nila. Walang nagbago. Parehong-pareho parin kay Ate Girl. The only difference is mas malaki na yung chance mong hindi ma-offload if you have a stable job, have your legal documents ready, and if you show that you're financially capable.

I think retraining is much, much needed. It’s 2023 dude, women can certainly travel alone and can fund their travels. Travel is a rewarding experience and passion for a lot of people. And there’s no substitute for actually being in a particular place. The learnings are incomparable rather than just reading from a book or watching from a screen. Travel can be a personally satisfying experience and it’s embarrassing that you have to justify your trip in this day and age. I traveled a lot in my 20s, alone as a female. I enjoy my solo trips since I can go where I want and I value my independence. I’ve never been subjected to any interrogation but it pains me to know this exist. Travel is a right, not a privilege offered to the selected few.

Complete overhaul. Do away with such interviews. If they have the necessary documents like job orders and visas let them go. Its 2023 and more Filipinos have overseas travel histories and are smart to avoid the dangers abroad.

Here's the questions that IO should ask 1. In case of emergency alam mo ba Philippines Embassy na bansang pupuntahan mo? 2. Do you have the address/phone number? 3. Can I see the print copy of the address/phone no# These questions are basic, but critical questions. Pupusta ako karamihan sa Tourist/OFW walang contact information ng embassy.
