Religion sucks, Jesus and the real gospel are amazing! This was a moment of God showing up and meeting people. The same way He wants to meet both of you. Jesus' love and goodness are ridiculous. His presence is better than any drug or drink this world has to offer. Funny I came across this video somehow, but feel like neither one of you has ever heard the real gospel. As a Christian, I really appreciate you both giving this an honest listen And yes, you’re right, being someone that struggles with arrogance, my time as a Christian has humbled me far beyond what I could do otherwise and given me a new way to view the world The change, to put it into words, is something like “let everything you do serve God, and build up God’s authority rather than doing everything in a self-serving way that builds yourself up and becomes idolizing self-worship” The change actually comes more from awe inspiring experiences like this or enjoying a starry night rather than praising God although both can create that humbling feeling

There is a social dynamic of corporate worship that is inspiring, and being part of that euphoric, ecstatic, other-worldly moment (lighting, camera angles, etc help, as does a well-oiled praise band) cannot be anything but good, can it? What happens when the moment passes, but you (the individual) don't want it to, and you crave it again, and again, and want it to be your reality every moment? Can this become a form of addiction, where the corporate gatherings are the spiritual equivalent of managed safe injection sites? Sometimes I wonder about things in that framework: managed/guided spirituality. Guided and managed by whom? Very interesting guys! Your own experiences provide thoughtful contexts. Beautiful video of this assembly, and beautifully terrifying.
