You’re an inspiration to so many Chip, myself included. It’s amazing to see your journey and all the persistence it took for you to finally reach this point. It’s truly something special, and I’m glad to have shared some of these moments (not white sharks unfortunately, but still some monsters) with you over the past few summers.

Wonderful Production, touching and moving, great job Chip and Salt Creek Films One of the best experiences in my life and we didn't catch a GW. He is one of the best out there and he has this passion to catch, track and protect one of the greatest predators we have known. If you get a chance to fish with him, DO IT, even though it might bump me out for my next opportunity, it is well worth it for me to share it with like minded individuals. Oh by the way - better put on your big boy pants, this is no joke fishing and will be will worth it for you, because you danced with the APEX and survived! Good Luck to you all and thank God we still have explorers and passionate people like CHIP MICHALOVE!!!!!!!!

What a fabulous documentary! The added use of drones and underwater photography to augment the filming were outstanding along with the editing details (I loved the water-spattered sunglasses on the boat deck). I am Charli's grandmother so it had special meaning for me but this will be enjoyed by anyone! Love, Grandma Robin

❤🤗🦈 I love all that you and your crew do Chip. You are a beautiful inspiration to many, and those sharks you have helped to save. My story began watching jaws for the first time at 7 years old. I wasn't scared like most; instead, I cried when I saw the tiger shark on that hook and post. Then, at the end. My mother asked me why I was crying for a monster that kills people. I said to her because they have a life too mom. Since then, my passion grew. I was limited to knowledge as we are talking 1977. Throughout the years, I kept seeking knowledge in libraries and the trials of life vhs tapes narrated by David Attenbourough. Just 10 years later, technicalogical advances offered us "Shark Week." Now at 51 and many, many years of self education and recently obtaining my Dive cert. My dream has become a reality.

Thats so cool, thanks for telling me your side. I grew up watching Jaws as well, and when i was first starting to target them i was scared to death...was fully prepared for one to attack the boat. Greatly appreciate the kind words and if theres anything i can do, dont hesitate.

Day before my birthday in January I hooked one in 1994 and got it to the boat to see it in all its glory for a couple minutes. Only me and my friend on the boat. It was about 9' to 10'. I was laughed at and called a liar, so I eventually quit telling my story out of embarrassment. Kinda feel vindicated now that you have been catching them. It's insane the ridicule I experienced for telling people.

Thats insane, but i know the feeling. The paper here didnt even believe me after i had pics. It took 3 more before they went nuts about it. Congrats bud.

Great work. Why is no one taking cages out there? Too far? No way to set up a mooring? And is that a mola mola at 1:02:48?

I never satellite tag the smaller ones, it does too much damage to the fish.

This is disgusting...just stop. Those images of the sharks with their mouths and faces ripped with hooks in them were horrifying. Just stop...LEAVE THE DAMN SHARKS ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Briar, what images are you specifically angry about? I dont see any mouths or faces ripped up. I think you need to educate yourself in what youre apparently so upset about. We're satellite tagging, getting tissue, and DNA from the first great white shark south of NY ever in history. Scientists are bending over backwards to get this data and im getting it for free. The sharks swim off healthy and we apply tags. We may even ultrasound females next month. How can you be upset with that? If so, what have you done in your life to help sharks? How many days have you volunteered to take scientists out to tag sharks, how much money have you donated?
