In those 2 verses Jesus was basically saying that He was God`s son and that like all people, he had a nature to sin. Jesus never sinned, but he was tempted to sin. God alone cannot be tempted and sin. But that does not mean that they are not equal. The Father Son and Holy Spirit all play different roles and these roles define authority and subservience. But they still are all one and equal.The Father commands the son and the Father and son command the holy spirit.

I was so captivated by The Passion of The Christ that I saw it four times when it came out. Mel Gibson has given us one of the greatest movies of all times, despite his anti-Semitic tirades and threatening to kill his second wife. Why would he recklessly drive a car with the emblem of the Devil, nearly getting himself killed? Did Jesus crush the Serpent in Gethsemane? Where did Mr. Gibson get this idea? It's not in the four gospels. If Jesus came today, He'd say the same things about knowing the evil in us that Jung confirmed. The Church and Christian religions have been the worst. The lesson of St. Peter's Denial has yet to be learned and why Jesus loved St. Mary Magdalene most of all. The Gospel of Mary is very revealing about knowing the evil in us. The Devil is not to blame. The Bible and Lord's Prayer show that it's God who puts us to the test as He did with His Son, but will deliver us if we can know the evil in us. Jesus resisted temptation with prayer and fasting and a certain respect and humility. It's God who tests us that we might know the evil in us. He will grant Satan his wish as with Peter if we fail to know the evil in us. Who alone is good? Jung had to remind us what Jesus said. Our dreams clearly show this. Jesus would give us the prayer He prayed to His dying day to be delivered and saved. In the great movie Jesus of Nazareth by Franco Zeferelli, Peter cries out, "We've all betrayed Him!" But why didn't St. Mary Magdalene and St. John? Again, their Gnostic Gospels emphasize what Jesus said in Matthew 15 : 19. Jung saw how we're less likely to succumb. Would we betray Jesus? Maybe knowing how we can with our sinful desires we wouldn't? If we could ask His help, unlike Peter. We clearly can't save ourselves. Or would we claim faith and good works as St. Paul suggests? Why didn't he answer Jesus ' question? Would the Church and Christian religions have persecuted Jesus too, even small children, he had? Jesus gave all glory to God for the great good He did, helping his faith. It's why Jesus came, that we'd have faith in Him. Peter is the Rock in us all. He could remember he was a sinful man when he died as when he first met Jesus. Will we?

This movie is very Catholic in a way. But it is an excellent Chrisitian film. It's based on the visions of Saint Anne Catherine. But also on the Gospels. Mel Gibson really is a man of God and so is Jim Caviezel. It is faith in Jesus that saves. Not a denomination. This movie does an excellent job at showing that Jesus was who He claimed to be. And it does show the message of Slavaition very clearly. It really does. Come on ! Of course it does ! Don't say it doesn't! In a flashback scene , Jesus does say He is the only way. He says His trademark phrase " I am the way , the truth and the life, and no one goes to the Father except by me". Many versions dont quote that statement fully. Which is problematic. Extremely problematic. And in the start of the film we see the verse from Isaiah. Which is so hard for me to read . Because it makes me cry. That verse makes my heart pee its pants. This movie really shows what our Lord went through. It has hardcore violence. But for the right reasons. Unlike Game of Thrones , Hostel , SAW etcetera this movie doesnt show violence for the pleasure of sadism. When we see Jesus bleed and fall down, there's no kickass music in the background or anything. There is sad , instrumental music of lamentation.

Also. We should always check the intention of artists. The violence in the film isn't to glorify evil. It is to be historically accurate. Watching this movie is no different than watching a Holocaust film. The intention matters. I've seen naked women in showers in holocaust films but I didn't get aroused and or get tempted to lust. Cause the topic is sad. And if you get aroused by that you are crazy.

Who was there to record the words Jesus spoke in the Garden? All by himself? Which evangelist was right there and overheard him speak? This is not history. This is theology. Big difference. People focus on two things.....crucifixion and then rising from the grave. I don't hear much said about how Jesus Lived the Kingdom of God right there in the midst of his disciples, fellow countrymen, gentiles, etc. Nobody seems to care much about Jesus as merciful. Jesus as forgiving. Jesus as healer. Jesus as comforter. Jesus as living the Kingdom he spoke of. All I see and here on these channels is about destruction, supposed rapture, the destruction of those who are not "us", or Christian. I think many of you/us will be surprised at who God has invited to the banquet!!!
