@@moonshoes11 The biggest flaw of Christianity: "If you dont believe what I believe, you will suffer your entire life, and then burn for all eternity after you die. Even if you never even heard of Christ". I know Catholics and many other denominations are little more lenient on this front, the Catholic concept of "pre - Christ righteous pagans" comes to mind, but still, most Christians believe that someone being tortured forever is an acceptable thing to do to someone. If you torture people, your evil, so if god is fine with "bad" (no such thing, people are a product of their environment, genetics and experiences) people going to hell, then he is by my standards, an evil god. But in reality, the very concept of omnipotence is a human creation. NO one really knows the truth, and claiming certainty is for con men and fools. Claiming certainty destroys discovery, imagination and the scientific processes that have led to our lives improving. Claiming certainty stunts growth and innovation. Why claim to be certain when you can live a life of intriguing and mind expanding thought experiments regarding the true nature of the universe? Christians are kings of claiming certainty, instead of maintaining an open mind that is open to skepticism and alternative theories. Im a big nerd, so being religious OR being an athiest seems like a boring existence, Im an agnostic athiest, I believe the "truth" will probably never be known, and that is a beautiful thing because it allows us to use out imagination. I like religion for its story telling i guess, but I look at it the same way I look at that show "Ancient Aliens": its just fun speculation based not on evidence but very human ideas.

There are other people who ARE deserving of your time, so you could be making a positive difference somewhere else, instead of being toyed with and ridiculed. Some people can be so blinded by their own arrogance that they become sort of delusional, they'll convince themselves that they're always right, they can do no wrong, and there is just absolutely no getting through to them no matter what.

This caught them by surprise, because they did not desire to believe, but simply debate and defend their position. Someone who is not ready to believe will not no matter what you put before them. I knew if I asked him to play any song he would. So I said "Ok Lord, play Come as you are by nirvana... I turned on my radio and the song began right on the spot, perfectly. I started getting flooded on the inside like a waterfall of chills by the Holy Spirit and started crying. I got home and he stayed with me for 10 minutes til I got out of the car. After that my faith got strong enough that I didn't doubt anymore and I've been getting answered prayers for nearly 5 years. Many involving other people. @@macavalli2619 Here are some tips. God can still answer your prayers without all this kind of, but if you really want to pull things down and make it happen... A. Keep the commandments best you can. John 15 for reference. B. Forgive everyone. It's obeying God. I forgive as soon as I feel unforgivness. This doesn't mean not getting some people out of your life. It's good for your soul and one of the most important things to do for yourself too. C. Be an actual believer Christian who has the Holy Spirit and wants to serve Him where it counts at least. D. Pray to the Father in Jesus name. I do talk to Jesus a ton though. Either way though, He hears us really. E. Pray without doubting. To get rid of doubt I recommend reading the Word when you wake up. Dedicate that 5 to 20 minutes to God. I only read 1 chapter anymore. Don't watch things that make you doubt too often. Amass as much non-doubt as you can. Watch good sermons from reliable preachers. Spend time in His presence. Cleaner television. Etc... F. Pray with authority of who you truly are. You're a child of God. He is infinite and has given us authority over many things. G. I say "I place a demand and I decree in Jesus name, amen It's not like a spoiled brat making demands. It's like a demand being placed on a package you ordered. With authority. H. Fasting can give you a very powerful edge. Even a meal a day or only eating veggies. I don't ever do this anymore, because I don't doubt. I. Praying from under the Shadow of of His wings, that it speaks about in Psalms 91. It gives you an edge and much more. You can speak from that place too. I don't have to do this anymore either unless I want to or it's a harder prayer. J. The more you pray the stronger they get. It goes up and down though as it developes. K. A prayer closet gives you an edge and is a great place to spend time with Him. L. Don't let pride get a hold of you once you do get answered prayers, because it leads to shame, and can destroy your life until you deal with it.

@@nonprogrediestregredi1711 Well I am telling the truth. It is written that there are 7 things God especially detests. Two of them are "hands that shed innocent blood" and another is a "false witness." If I was lying about these things, it would be as evil to God as murdering an innocent. satan is the father of all lies. Other people have been a part of my prayers many times. There have been 3 people at my church who had stage 4 cancer and the church prays for them and they've been healed over night. I had a woman call me not too long ago and she told me she was healed from schizophrenia after I prayed for her a long time ago. Which according to scientists is impossible to heal from, I hear. We had a deaf woman at my other church who was healed by church prayer and can hear. Not too long ago, I told a co-worker 2 stories and asked if I could pray for him and he said yeah. I grabbed his hands and prayed for his family, finances, and things. I came to work 4 days later. He said he had gotten promoted to GM Manager over a bunch of different stores. It wasn't really a trial, more like an informal examination. The formal trial was before the Sanhedrin, but they lacked the authority to pass a death sentence on their own, so they went to Pilate, and he in turn sent Jesus to Herod hoping Herod would take the problem off his hands, but Herod sent him back mostly because he feared a backlash from the people if he was the one who had Jesus executed. None of them really cared whether Jesus was innocent or guilty, what to do with him was a political decision, and Pilate's waffling was because he needed the cooperation of the Temple priests to rule Judea but was also afraid of popular unrest if he killed a popular religious leader. Don't think any of them had the slightest qualms about executing a man they knew to be innocent.

@jebediah4780Ай бұрын
I don't think it specifically means to never place words of wisdom in the ears of fools. After all, we are all fools, and we all need wisdom. Jesus commands us fools to go out and spread the Gospel to other fools. However if you know that someone is antagonistic, emotional, will never listen to a single thing you've said (like the pharisees) don't waste your pearls of wisdom on them. Jesus could have uttered the most wise and eloquent speech a human being has ever heard when questioned and attacked by the Pharisees. However, it would be as much of a waste as throwing pearls before swine, the swine does not appreciate the pearl for it's true value. The Pharisees were like hounds, and would have attacked and doubted the Son of Man no matter what He said. At least that is how I understand it.
@peoplez129Ай бұрын
It's basically a phrase that has relevancy in various situations. Don't share wisdom with those who don't deserve it, don't show thieves what you have to take, don't respect people who are undeserving of respect. All kinds of meanings. In all of these cases, it allows others to elevate themselves (or their appetites) at your expense. It's a universal truth in any century.

@MrMadbrowncow , the news is nothing but propaganda and its pushing an agenda... 99.98% LIES. So it WON'T. The "news" doesn't like the TRUTH.

@Rockwell Rhodes Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you

@Rockwell Rhodes you just violated the 1st and second commandment.. u can't create a god in your own image . Your nice snuggly god to suit your sin won't be their to judge you on judgment day.. god of the bible will cast you in the lake of fire for an eternity.. yes it does speak of eternal punishment.. in hell.. repent before it's too late for u..

@@AllSven its messed up to send a person to suffer infinitely when humans live a finite life and can only do with the span of their lives and also barely know anything about the universe. I hope Herod isnt in hell because that would be horrible to be suffering for an incomprehensible amount of time to the point where anything he had done in his life was forgotten and or mended a long time ago.

Beautiful scene, the young man speaking and everyone watching was hoping to see him perform a miracle so that they can be healed from whatever..The young lady sat up with hope in her eyes and heart..today in 2024 believers all around the world are looked at like this because people dont understand why we praise or act the way that we do..😊 His silence was Golden✨️

Within context, it's indescribable the love that God shows to us constantly. This scene gave me this thought.

It's one thing to believe in God, but another thing entirely when he calls you by name, or in the case of this scene, when he looks you directly in the eye. Out of all of the people that have ever existed and will ever exist, all of the places on Earth, all of the moments in time, God is standing in this very spot, at this very moment, and looking you, of all people, in the eye.

Fact: majority of the interior shots were realized at cinecitta studios in Rome Italy, most of the actors in this movie are italians including the actor portraying Herod, the calvary scene was filmed outside of the city of Matera also in Italy.

after you reach the point in life when you can see things a bit more clearly you realize what a messed up situation we are in, that the only Son of God actually had to be murdered in order for us not to be cast into Hell (after we struggle through this frustrating and confusing life). this is not a life. this is a battle

The entire premise of all theology rests upon the assumption of human spirits that contain and process sentience and pain/pleasure sensations after every human dies as individual fates. Until that premise can be proven or disproven, the whole realm of discussion is little more than just talk. Empty speculation.

The dignity of a King, in a court of fools. It’s truly astonishing how humanity still behaves in a similar fashion 2000 years later. As if they know better than the Almighty to this day. They still pass judgment on God in spite of themselves.
