Somraj Das is a lyricist by passion and also works in an IT company in Bangalore. Since childhood, he wanted to become a doctor. After failing the MBBS exam the first time, he passed the BDS exam the second time and got an opportunity to study in a government college in Haryana, but due to his father's illness and financial hardship, he could not go. He lost his father in 2020. After that, his dream of becoming a lyricist was no longer pursued. During this time he had to run their snack shop to run the family. During the lockdown, he did an internship in a reputed media house for 6 months. But even there he did not get paid properly. He then got an opportunity to work in an IT company in Bangalore and also continued to write songs. The journey was not that easy, but today he has worked with Saregama, Zee Music. He is also trying to work with SVF. He has also worked in some web series. According to him, an artists should never stop dreaming.
সোমরাজ দাস সখে একজন গীতিকার ও পাশাপাশি ব্যাঙ্গালোরের একটি তথ্য প্রযুক্তি সংস্থায় কর্মরত। ছোট থেকে তার ইচ্ছা ছিল ডাক্তার হওয়ার। প্রথমবারে MBBS পরীক্ষায় পাস্ করতে না পারলেও দ্বিতীয় বার BDS পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হয়ে হরিয়ানার একটি সরকারি কলেজে পড়ার সুযোগ পান, কিন্তু বাবার অসুস্থতা ও আর্থিক অনটনের কারণে যাওয়া হয়ে ওঠেনি। ২০২০ সালে তিনি তার বাবাকে হারান। তারপরে আর তার গীতিকার হওয়ার স্বপ্নটাকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়নি। এই সময় তাকে তাদের জলখাবারের দোকান চালিয়ে সংসার চালাতে হয়। লকডাউন এর সময় একটি সনামধন্য মিডিয়া হাউসে ইন্টার্নশিপ করেন তিনি, ৬ মাস। কিন্তু সেখানেও পারিশ্রমিক পাননি ঠিক মতো। এরপর তিনি ব্যাঙ্গালোরের আইটি কোম্পানিতে কাজ করার সুযোগ পান ও পাশাপাশি গান লেখার কাজ ও চালিয়ে যান। রাস্তাটা এতটা সহজ ছিলোনা, কিন্তু আজ তিনি সারেগামা,Zee মিউজিক এর সাথে কাজ করেছেন। SVF এর সাথেও কাজের প্রচেষ্টা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছেন তিনি। কিছু ওয়েব সিরিজেও তার কাজ রয়েছে। তার মতে শিল্পীদের কখনোই স্বপ্ন দেখা বন্ধ করতে নেই।
