Thanks for doing this video, I just spent £5k on all the old Xprs and bought a pair of these new… THE HISS!!! If I had have known I wouldn’t have bothered.. it means I can’t put them out for background music.. just monitors or mains

@@PassionateDJaha, could you tell me (I have the 10” 2nd generation) is it just the 10” and 12” mid tops that hiss or does the 18” sub hiss as well? I am thinking of sending the 10” 2nd gen back but am tempted at buying one of their 18” subs so I can have more options for my customers. And maybe one day a set of the original 10” will come up at the right place second hand. TIA (post Covid it seems allot harder to just pop to a shop and get a demo, you have to buy and try and send back if not happy 😢

That’s not how amplifiers work, a 4kw peak sun, 2kw rms probably driving 1kw max of drivers willl usually only run at 1/6-1/4 capacity and even at loud volumes might only draw 400 watts rms (excess energy is stored in amps capacitors) welcome to class d switch mode efficiency, I know it’s counter intuitive
