Passive transport is a naturally occurring phenomenon that allows us to keep things balanced in our cells. Simple diffusion, facilitated diffusion and osmosis are known types of passive transport.
In this video, we will cover the following:
00:00 Intro
01:30 What is passive transport?
04:48 Types of passive transport
05:20 Simple diffusion
07:28 Facilitated diffusion
09:24 Osmosis

Omg! This is great! We just started this topic at school and I was really wondering how I am going to study it. But since I looove your videos and the way you are teaching us these "complex" subjects, it is like a little treat. Thank you! You're amazing!

Just one question. you mentioned at 8:00 that the cell membrane is not polar. how is that possible? isn't it amphipathic? cause the phospholipids have polar heads and nonpolar tails?
@JoaosLab

Thank you so much for your kind words! ❤ What I meant to say is that the membrane as a whole is amphipathic. Yes, the membrane is made up of phospholipids that have polar and nonpolar parts, but when they come together they form a structure that is amphipathic, with both hydrophobic and hydrophilic parts, like the membrane. I hope I was able to clarify this point. 😊

You're welcome! Yes, that's actually a great idea. At the moment, we are a very small company, self-funded, and we don't have the resources to do it. However, as we grow, we are hoping to be able to add more features to our videos, including captions and subtitles.
