You make cell biology so easy I love this channel! When your mentioning those types of viruses such as covid, im guessing their acting as agonists to the receptor so they can be engulfed by receptor mediated endocytosis?

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. ❤ Viruses like SARS-CoV-2 do not act as agonists to receptors in the same way that natural ligands do in receptor-mediated endocytosis. Instead, they exploit the host cell's receptor-mediated endocytosis process to gain entry into the cell.
