Be consistent in following HaShem. Trust HaShem that He will help you. Know in your belief, that no matter how much you are ridiculed, HaShem will not allow your foot to falter. Thank you Rabbi for another talk with such a variety of useful and helpful topics. Baruch HaShem!

I am adding here an interesting remark about the Daguesh. In my Congregation, during the Selihhot season, several Congregants are given the opportunity to chant one line of the Aneinu. Some participants add a non-existent Daguesh and pronounce a hard Anneinu instead of a soft Aneinu. By mispronouncing the word, they are not asking HaShem to answer to us, but, Bar minnan, to make us suffer. When this happens, I say to myself: 'count me out!'

Excellent shiur, as always. Debarim shel ta'am. With all due respect, and I say this with my best intentions, the good Rabbi Yosef needs to work on the correct Middle Eastern pronunciation of his own Family name. The way he pronounces it, the letter HHet still sounds to me almost like a Khaf, the ones that appear in the word Hhakham. And please, forgive me about this remark. Also, those who can't differentiate between a Ayin and an Alef, when they read in the Shema'ah portion that says "wul'oobdoh bekhol lebabkhem", and they pronounce the Ayin like an Alef, the end result is catastrophic. The original word means "to worship Him", and the mispronounced one, with an Alef sound instead of a Ayin sound, implies, Bar minnan, the action of destroying or annihilating. I ask my Israeli friends if they know why do all the letters of the Hebrew language exist? And my answer is that each letter was created to express a unique sound. A Bet is not a "Vet", a Ayin is not an Alef, a Hhet is not a Khaf, a Tet is not a Taf, a Taf is not a Saf, a soft Ghimal is not a hard Guimal (in Shirat Hayam, we pronounce them differently when we say "ki gha'oh gua'ah), a Kof is not a Caf, and Resh is not a French letter. To modern Hebrew speakers, other than to the Mizrahhim, the Daguesh is a forgotten Niqqud, when it is supposed to make a single letter sound like a double one, such as: Ba'bboker, Ha'bbekhor, Qabbalah. Finally, to me, one of the most interesting usages of the Daguesh is in an expression that happens to include three times the letter Hhet: "Rei'yahh ni'hhowwahh" - a sweet scent. Thank you again for your shiurim - time flies, even when they last more than three hours.

WHY TO BURN THE SPAGHETTI AND OTHER HAMETZ? JUST GIVE IT TO THE HOMELESS OR TO A CITY SHELTER. IT IS A WASTE TO THROW IT OR BURN IT.
