I got mine on Monday. Was expecting it to take the 18 weeks. Took 12 weeks… Sent my application June 10th. It expired last September, so I didn’t see a reason to renew it and waste a year going nowhere. My boss sent hers in a month after me, and got it in August. Lucky duck. Everybody is different for some reason. Now just waiting for my old passport to come in the mail.

Passport renewal process is a shame. It takes at least 12-18 weeks for it to be approved. It’s just plain disgustingly unacceptable.

I said the same till I realized more than enough people passed away and this entity is doing its best plus they are making a change to the passport itself. So its a possibility they are in training. I was planning a trip to MBJ but now I am going elsewhere that doesnt require a passport. I learned my lesson and will not allow mine to expire anymore.

@@tyefrazjohn To Tyesha Frazier: There is a different way to process your expedited passport if you plan to travel for urgent situations. You can even visit an agency in person to free yourself of mishaps and errors. However, though, booty on the MBJ and Hedo will not be considered urgent travel.

I need to renew two passports from one household. Can both applications and documents be included in one envelope? Would the expedite renewal fee be required for each applicant or since the applications are being sent together would one fee be acceptable? Can both passports be returned in one envelope using the 1-2 delivery fee? Can one check or money order be used for both passports for the total fees?

You can renew it. 6 months applies to certain countries who require that your passport be at valid for 6 months past your arrival date. Say you traveled internationally and arrived today. If your passport expires in less than 6 months you would not be allowed to enter. This is a rule for certain countries

If you miss the expiration date as well, you have up to 5 years after the expiration to renew it, if not you have to do it like you were applying for the first time…

How do I get an appointment? My issue date was over 16 years ago so I have to start all over but the post office website appointment page doesn't seem to work. There are never any appointments and nobody to call that can answer or do a manual appointment..... can you offer advice on how an American Veteran citizen can get an appointment to get a NEW passport????

They are taking a lot of money for a new passport and still are slow, slow, even if you apply for an expedited passport. I sent my application on the 7th of may. Hello I talk about the stapling in the video. I can not speak on rejections. However, whomever took the pic should have used the photo tool I mention in the video or if you had it taken at a store they would have used the tool to check for issues

Hello There, I came across reading your question. For US Passport Renewal application for Eligible Applicant: US Passport was issued when you are 16 years old above. And you cannot send your application by mail because it will get rejected your application. You have to start from the beginning like New Application Process. We've got a problem. We are scheduled to travel abroad every couple of months beginning in November. My wife's passport expires next September 2022. The State Dept. says "expedited" renewals are now taking 12 weeks and we do not have 12 weeks between any of our trips. Is it really taking that long? What should we do? It's now 18 weeks for standard...and 12 weeks for expedited. I applied May 7th, and it Just now says "In Progress " July 12th, on the state passport portal...I paid for expedited after the fact, July 2nd.
