@Learn from Experience 1.) I was not present when policeman came, inspite of me informing him all this in advance, he came to my house, took all the Documents, but I didn't bribe. 2.) After 4 days he called me and said that criminal record will be verified at my Former residential address, although I have provided my current address wherein I have been living for for than 18months.During his visit, he also took my older aadhar card. I didn't receive any call from my older address regional police station, I contacted him and infirmed him this also, he didn't give the satisfactory ans. Finally, next day I receive message of adverse report on my current address. What I concluded that, me not bribing him brought the matter to this stage. I have SCN and Booked appointment at RPO for 30/05/2022. Now, please tell me. 1.) Would I have to pay Penalty of 5k to RPO officer?. Or, with all documents and true explanation, my work will be done. I will be grateful if you reply.

Hi, I had applied for passport 3 years back but police verification couldn't be completed as I had to move to different city due to job requirement. Application is closed as per the online status but I haven't got closure letter & after enquiry, I got to know that it was delivered from passport office & might be miss from postal service. Also, I checked the recent online application method. There is an option to provide old file number. Can I proceed with the new application in case I don't have closure letter in physical form but I have proof of online status which states that it's closed?

Mene present address proof ke liye unhe electricity bill diya. Usme mera bhai ka naam tha kyunki mere bhai ke naam pe ghar hai toh unhone mere bhai ke aadhar aur pan card print mange. Meine woh bhi diya phir bolte hai affidavit do ki ghar aapke naam ka bhi hai but woh tha nhi toh unhone kaha ki remark likh denge ke bhai ke sath rehete hai aap. Koi problem ho sakti hai kya isme? @Passport Helpline - As per my knowledge, address is no ground to reject right to travel abroad, only two ground they can adverse your passport, 1. Are you Indian citizen or not 2. Or any court trail is going on against you in any court. If Any FIR against you , stilll police cannot adverse , but may people don't know this.

Are you staying on rent ! If yes just get one rent agreement and apply for re verification. All they need is to make sure that you stay on given address and all documents are genuine submitted by you .

They need address proof only , your Aadhar card must be updated on same address that works as both address and identity proof. If you have any bank account on same address that also can help you .
