Fun fact: we can thank Filipino culture(s) for the popularization of the yoyo (especially the name) and also for karaoke (Japanese-named but a phenomenon of Filipinos in Japan)…also for the term “boondocks” coming from “bundok” meaning mountain in Filipino. Mabuhay 🇵🇭❤

@z I won't argue I read IT somewhere (sorry I don't know where in some article) and I remember that because it surprised me that in this day it would be probably 2.4 million but Arlene in one interview say it has around 14 diamond in each side so... Everything went up since than. But you might be right. If I come across it again I post that article

E.L., Arlene very often appeared "tipsy" on these shows...but remember, they ARE Games! She had a great deal of serious theatre experience over the years too, so I think she often just let loose with her wacky good humour!

Bad day for the contestants to have those two celebs (A.F. & S.H.) on the program. They were too busy trying to get laughs instead of giving good clues. Too-tan beach guy was mugging for the camera. Probably hoping to be seen by a Hollyweird Producer/Talent Agent. Arlene Francis needed to read a few pages from a dictionary before ever getting on this game again.

Pianist by profession. But yes he does have the used car salesman vibe. And he never gave up on the comb over until the day he died, almost 40 years after this.
