its is annoying that they have to have the voice over speaking the password. It Makes it impossible to play along at home.

The contestant called her "Granny" instead of Irene at the start of the lightning round. He was very flustered.

It seems food waste for garbage was a much more prevalent usage in 1967 than now. Trash was usually considered dry waste. Today the two are used interchangeably.

What a contrast. Audrey Meadows, classy, beautiful, and ladylike. Jerry Lewis, rude, obnoxious, and inconsiderate.

Any contestant playing the lightning round with Eva should be awarded the $250 automatically. Or given an extra 5 minutes.

The one thing that I did not like about the show was during the "Lightning Round" Allen did not help matters any with his constant interrupting them when they were trying to give clues. He should have kept quiet and let them play.

God, I love Eva. My favourite Gabor sister, and as a Gen-Zer, I can't help but hear Rarity in her grace, diva-ness, and generosity, especially when she says "dahling." I particularly love the 13:05 mark after she realizes she flubbed the word. ;) If anyone else watching is a fan of her personality, you should totally check out her 1967 Merv Griffin interview (on KZbin at the time of writing).

Carol Lawrence and Robert Goulet were married a year later on November 12, 1963. I read they began dating for a year prior to marrying. I wonder if they were officially dating at this point. Often Allen would comment on this if the contestants were married, etc. I didn’t pick up on any such comments on this episode.

My mother had telephone party line and Lucy was on that party line. My mom would listen in. This was around 1936. In the 1970's, Lucy rented a home from my uncle so her mother could live close buy.
