Mori never really physically abused Dazai. He mentally destroyed him even more than he already was.

We don't know if he did or did not. We only really ever got snippets of Dazai's life growing up around mori and in the port. We don't really have full confirmation what Mori did or did not do to dazai

@@manhandler. There is literally no mention of any abuse inflicted on Dazai by Mori in the entirety of the manga, light novels, beast or WAN. It is more or less obvious that Asagiri did try to give us a deeper impression on Mori's character, especially in the cannibalism arc. As you said we don't know what Mori did and did not do to Dazai, but obviously we cannot blame him for something there is no evidence of. It's like claiming that Chuuya abused Akutagawa or something because "we do not know what he did and did not do to Akutagawa".

@avakinneha284 mori still mentally traumatized dazai. Abuse isn't always physical. Killing someone in front of a child is trauma. Traumatizing a child is abuse. Don't compare it to chuuya and akutagawa because there is absolutely zero sign of chuuya abusing/traumatizing Akutagawa. There is a sign of Mori abusing Dazai, therefore we can say that we dk what he did or did not do. It is a theory. You cannot say "well we weren't shown this therefore your theory is wrong" and then justify that by talking abt smth unrelated.

Of course bro (Chuuya is the best, he can hurt no one 😌) anyways, what I was trying to say, is that people reducing Mori's entire character to Dazai's abuser, when he most likely didn't do any of that is just wrong. Dazai doesn't really show any signs of physical abuse from Mori but still there are SO MANY disturbing and utterly GRUESOME fanfictions/headcannons/animatics of Mori doing the most nasty shit when in actuality he wouldn't actually do that. BSD fans blame Mori for literally everything. 90% of the fanfictions consist of Mori as the main villain when he isn't even the main antagonist of the show. Anything goes wrong? Blame Mori. The headcannons have gotten so popularized that most of the fandom believes Mori actually canonically physically abused Dazai and other kids even if it isn't shown on screen (this includes you)

@avakinneha284 I never said he physically abused dazai. Neither did any part of this video. It implied that mori mentally abused him. I never said all mori is is an abuser, did I? I like his character and believe he plays a huge part in Dazai's story, but you have to face the fact that he himself isn't a good person. His character is good, not him. I wasn't blaming him for anything other than traumatizing dazai, but you do you. Idk what fanfiction has anything to do with genuine theories that consist of evidence that could possibly, just maybe, point to Mori doing worse things to Dazai. Headcanons of Mori being a total freak towards dazai are gross, but theories are completely different if backed up with evidence.

the way chuuya completely dismisses the fact that dazai was abused too makes me angry, and the fact that he only sees akutagawa as a victim. ofc the abuse inflicted on dazai doesnt excuse / justify what he did to aku but chuuya’s acting like aku didnt abuse kyouka aswell. like aku isnt the only victim 😭 i love aku tho !!!!!
