Great demo of this amazing chorus. I've had many different chorus pedals, none of which sound like this one. I've played it thru nice older H&K and other combo amps, sounds great. Finally a very early JCM 900 Mk III 100 watt full stack ran fairly clean with this chorus in front of the amp. Sounded amazing! I stumbled on this chorus reading a Forum post. Ordered directly from PastFX. Arrived in the US in a week, free shipping. Amazing!

@@manuelbastian BTW I have the MN3007 model. Have read both Chorus Ensembles overall sound very similiar. Love the 5 internal mods. I turned on the Pot Mod so far. Having so much fun with the Chorus, think Rush Hemispheres. Have yet to run it in stereo, that should be awesome.

I'm so glad i didn't buy this, despite wanting that pre-amp for so long as a John Frusciante fan. Boss having recently announced being able to have the pre-amp in a pedal itself is amazing.

@@manuelbastian I do. I just figured I get a ce-2 and one because it's $200 for both. I can also choose if I ever want to disable the pre-amp.

@@Marinatina2 I had an old CE-2 and regret selling it. Although I like the CE-1 better. I know the new one has a CE-1 setting. And combining it with the preamp might work. But I don’t know if the math checks out. Let me know if you go down that route! 🙂

I have CE 2 made in Japan and CE 2W. CE2W is not like original CE 2. I think it is about parts and delay chip.@@manuelbastian

Ich war Anfang der 80er totaler Chorusfan. Hat dann merklich nachgelassen und habe zur Zeit kein Choruspedal. Aber ich höre es auch in letzter Zeit immer öfter. Geiles Video. Besonders der Anfang wo Du alles bedienst. Liebe Grüße ✌🏼

Vielen Dank! 🙏🏻🥰 Als 85er Jahrgang hab ich das meiste der 80er ja nur unbewusst mitgekriegt, aber auch Anfang der 90er war Chorus noch viel zu hören und vor allem die super cleanen Hi-Fi Chorus Sounds aus dem Rockman sind immer in Erinnerung geblieben. Meine Mom hat viel Bryan Adams gehört, der das Zeug ja auch benutzt hat. Auch Anfang der 90er war musikalisch ne geile Zeit! Wenn man sich mal den Pretty Woman Soundtrack reinzieht… Irre wie gut das Zeug produziert war damals! 🙌🏻 Muss demnächst mal n Video von meiner Rockman Sammlung machen. 😁

Around the chili sounds both strat and Gretch sounded really compressed (in a good way haha) wonder if that's the preamp doing or there's also a compressor on. If so - which one? Thanks!

Thank you! 🙏🏻😊 I might have added a compressor in post on the channel, that goes straight to the board. But the preamp is doing some magic as well. You won’t be disappointed! I used to have an original CE-2 and regret selling it. But I remember always wanting more depth from it. And it was mono. The Past FX is waaaay cooler! 🎉
