This was so cute! I love these two friends friendship! I always view them as a siblings/besties type duo, and it is always sweet to see! Mitsuri is just such a genuinely kind and caring person; she is just the sweetest! It is no wonder all the Hashira like her. I can't blame Obanai and Sanemi for disliking him, nor can I blame Giyuu for his actions, as, after all, the reason why a few of the Hashira dislike him comes from misunderstandings on BOTH sides. Giyuu keeps telling them he isn't 'like them' and seemingly avoids interacting with them; they have no way to know he isn't being condescending and looking down on them by acting like he is better than them, even though we know it is due to his own tragic past and not feeling good enough. He is socially awkward and has troubling communication with his feelings and words. The two worst cases (Sanemi and Obanai) both have trust issues of their own, aren't the best at communicating either, and both hold grudges, so it is no wonder they took the supposed insults the worst, and from their side they refused to even try to find out why Tomioka acts the way he does or try to get closer. In Sanemi's case, he rebukes all attempts by Tomioka to get closer, as we know Tomioka wants to befriend Sanemi but seemingly can't find a way to. The other Hashira fall somewhere in the middle of these two extremes, with Iguro and Sanemi on the firm dislike side and Mitsuri on the really close side. The more open-minded or chill Hashira seem to be closer to Tomioka because they can see, realize, or at least sense that Tomioka has a reason to act the way he does, or they just don't mind or care. I want to think that Mitsuri would help Obanai come around to giving Tomioka a chance; after all, she cares for both of these knuckleheads and knows both are good people. Now she just needs to get them to talk it out. Iguri is just as reserved and quiet as Tomioka, but due to him having lived with Rengoku's family after being saved and being around the Hashira for a long time, it is just that he was blessed with others understanding his circumstances a lot easier and more looking past that. Tomioka didn't know any of them before he became a Hashira; they only know how he acts now and what he tells them to go off of. I declare that Tomioka and Iguro are brothers in law, as Iguro marries Mitsuri, and Tomioka views Mitsuri kind of like his sister/bestie. If these two were given time, Imagine or Headcanon that their banter would turn from heated or scornful into playful teasing with no harm meant, as Iguro is a sassy snake.

i like to think that they could be almost like twins since their personalities can be very similar and they both have reasons for acting the way they do (iguro/giyu). but i couldn’t have phrased it better myself- you completely explained the situation between all of them and made it make perfect sense. thank you! 😇

@@Kokichi-YT that is such a cute thought! i feel simialry! I feel they would at least understand each other if they just y'know. talked. If Iguro comes around i feel Sanemi would too as Iguro and sanemi seem to get along quite well. I just ramble, i am glad it makes sense tho! I was unsure if it did! I just see a lot of people blame or be rude or harsh with Obanai and Sanemi or even Shinobu for their comments and attitudes towards Giyuu but i feel a lot of people forget they don't know what the adudance and fans know about Giyuu. he hides that and never explains why he acts how he does leaving room for misunderstandings to grow. It isn't all his fault tho as the harder cases as i have said don't exactly attempt to understand his side of things either.
