I always come here every night before sleeping because, for whatever reason, it helps me overcome the edge of taking my life (an overdose). My younger brother passed away two days before New Year's Eve. I tried a lot to save him, but he died the night before the loan could be approved to move him into a private health facility. The money meant to save him was used to put him to rest. I lost my mom before she could see me graduate. I had a feeling the night before she died, i felt pain at around 11 hanging with my friends at the school i went to (it was a private school that has dorms bc it was for indigenous students) but the feeling never went away so i went to bed after that bc i thought i was feeling left out, next morning my sister was calling me holding in tears trying not to cry telling me that my mom died. I was able to stay in my room and went to go take a shower and that’s when i could really cry my heart out. I’ve cried for a good 5 mins but the pain was still there. I had to go back home for her funeral which was the hardest and led me to a dark path, i felt myself change and went from being a joy of light to this darkness and evilness. On one of the services nights, i drank bc of the grievance i was facing and keep in ming that my father was never in my life and my mom raised me, provided and supported me and my sibling. My father was with me in the services but i didn’t get mad at him or question him, i was just glad he was there. But when i got back to the school which i had to fly back, my friends were there but i was alone the day after, like nothing happened and i felt lonelier than ever. I didn’t know how to live without my mother, i didn’t want to live whatsoever but i kept pushing but also kept falling to alcohol from time to time not everytime
