I probably spent $400 in quarters on the couple of Atari pins we had in our mall.. definitely Superman.. I think I played Hercules twice.. the biggest unfortunately isn't always the best.

I remember playing Hercules once on a trip to New Orleans. I'll admit the novelty of it was interesting but it played like old people f@ck. I mean widebody machines tend to play a bit slower already but Hercules was positively sedate. Cool to see one here though, don't think I've ever seen another on location anywhere.

I was excited to play these when I visited. The Atarians and Hercules are mentioned in the Atari 50 collection but it's a tease because there's no way to play them.

I've had lots of times where I could get Atari pins cheap. I've always assumed I'd never be able to get any of them running...

That's cool the first widebody, I think the only widebody style game I've played was a funhouse a long time ago

To me pinball had lost its way by this stage. Give me Gottliebs bells and chimes any day.

It would be cool if you guys could get ahold of the Road Runner prototype and complete the collection.

That'll be a tough one. Only 2 made. One is at the Pinball Hall of Fame.

How hard are these to maintain? Heard that Atari pinball machines were not very well made and prone to breakdowns.

Ataris main problem was that they over engineered every game and they should have had a combination of both wide bodies and normal sized
