Lol....we'll have to knock out some livestreams on it then, too!

Hi guys! I'm sorry, but you'll need to redo today's intro... When GM said "my order is bacon, sausage and egg, please", the ONLY right answer by Malc would be "what??? no spam??? ewww!" 😂😂😂 Are you even british if you don't quote Monty Python all the time??? 😛 Oh, and you forgot to say "perkele" to the worker, so he did that shitty job... oh, those finnish punks! 😠 Other than that, today was a nice and calm episode. I'm more on the timelapse team, but hey, just have fun and talk if you prefer, guys! See ya!

Yeah, I missed a trick there...I hope my tea rations aren't cut! Thanks for the feedback. I know we'll never please everyone all of the time, we'll try and keep a bit of a mixture, I think 👍

All the new ASUS boards I have built with in the past couple of years auto reset the BIOS to optimised defaults when flashing it. Back when AMD AM5 first came out, it was a memory training thing where it would take ages to train the memory. I think that is much faster now, but can still take a while if you are going max density RAM (Say 192GB or 128GB). Otherwise, POST after BIOS flash should be about 10 seconds or so, and it will usually prompt you with a TPM message, which if you have BitLocker enabled in Windows, you will then need your recovery key to get Windows to boot again.

It's only the second time I've ever done this. This time was especially trying, because it was a GPU upgrade too. So when the GPU didn't seem to work, and with no integrated graphics on the CPU, I had no idea. Went back to the 2060 and got an output, then GM helped with the BIOS update (the whole bit locker was new to me and the options didn't always make sense, to me at least). Then the 4080 worked almost perfectly, but a driver update fixed everything. But I'm still not getting great fps on FS22, so I need to look into that next.

@@pcplayermalc Run something like HWInfo64 in the background, or on a second screen. You can log your system stats while playing. Or if on a second screen just glance at the sensors to try get an idea of what is wrong. You never know, it could just be a temperature issue, specifically if you didnt get a good mount on the CPU cooler or something, your system could be throttling. HWInfo64 will show you if your GPU is at max load, or temperature issues, or any number of things that could be causing it. I run a 5700XT and my FS22 runs at between 60 and 80FPS at 1440p resolution. A big difference is my system is a workstation so its RAM and CPU are way overkill for any game, while not the highest clock speed, I have RAM bandwidth and CPU cores for days.

@MrGeneralScar I use HW Monitor. At 100% CPU temperatures don't go over 80°C. The fans on the 4080 Super never spin up, and I'm running 2 1440 screens and a 1080 screen. I'll do some more testing

@@pcplayermalc I guess it depends on your system, if its an Intel chip, those have been in the news lately for mainboard manufacturers not adhering to intel spec on power limits. The result being unstable CPUs (ASUS was called out by JaysTwoCents specifically for this). That said I also saw an article stating that some Intel CPUs are not even stable when running within Intel's power spec. GamersNexus has done some videos on the topic as well as JaysTwoCents. On the other hand, if its AMD's AM5 CPU (7000 series), with PBO enabled, then 80 degrees on the CPU is a cakewalk, as they normally target 95 degrees under heavy load by default unless your mainboard has lower temp profiles. It might be worth running a test on FS22, detail set to max/ultra, using full screen windowed, but run it on a base game map with no mods. A 4080 should be able to smash FS22 at well over 140FPS in 1440p. Then if that runs fine, if its possible to do as a test run it again on Korpi, no other mods, but with your edited texture pack. When I tried to follow the instructions to edit my textures, the game would either not load in to Korpi or any other save game, or when it did, it ran like crap. I ended up having to repair my game install and it then ran fine again.

@MrGeneralScar my full system is in my channel description. But it's AMD 3800X. I was on my original X370 MoBo. But with me getting the 4080 Super, I wanted something with PCIe4. As I know I'll go to AM5 eventually, I wasn't keen on spending too much on a MoBo right now. Going to AM5 will mean DDR5 as well, so that won't be a cheap day. I thought this was the best way to stage the upgrades
