Top of Portsdown hill, Mother Kelly's chippy, What used to be Vosper Thornycroft shipbuilders and The Wedgewood Rooms - great locations. I live about a mile from Mother Kelly's and used to work at the shipbuilders, been up the the hill thousands of times and must have seen about 200 gigs at The Wedge. Love the DIY videos you produce, seems to fit with the tunes better than some of the huge budget crap that other bands put on here. Fucking great stuff, can't wait for the debut album.

Anyone hear some verve in there , I'm lovin the whole spirit of spike island asthetic it's so reassuring that theres some cool bands out there doing rock n roll indie , I've loved these since deeper than holy blew my mind and they seem like proper cool lads after watching the James haregraves (what a geezer) interview it was with the singer and the rhythm guitarist who have obviously been good pals for bare time and it reminded of the really early footage you can find on KZbin of a young Liam and Noel bring interviewed before Liam just said if you don't like it then get foocked and Noel by then had masterd the art of storytelling , it was just all real, anyway now you got pastel supporting Liam at knebworth and I'm chuffed fuck knows how there feeling about the crowd size jeez that's going to be a buzz n a half , rock n roll is here to stay peace ✌️

I can hear stone roses oasis the verve and they transport you straight back to the 90's. This band are the best band they are better than some of the biggest rock in roll indie bands. RA is the business though and the verve I won't say better than them. But this band they will be up there they are up there.

Pedestrian.. wow.. using a word like that.. in this context is pretty good..I salute you.. yet..I have to come against you..challenge you..correct..even rebuke you.. cos the lyrical content of this song..and the grammatical structure of many of pastels songs is far from pedestrian..! Run rabbit run is in no way way slow or lacking vigure..it is cheeky..inventive.. and daring. This song.. to me..is biblical.. the lyrical content and subject matter is one that is heavey laden with spiritual connotations.. far from mundane or carnal. If it is pedestrian..then these pedestrians are walking on water baby..

Sorry mate, I have a lot of people talking about these guys comparing to Verve, some similarities alot of there stuff is darker & McCabe's Quadraverb & delay effects, he is a guitar god, the sounds is growing on me, I feel Super grass, Slowdive, The Smiths, etc. sorry for not adding more cheers.. Hello Tony.. Pastels old stuff.. was heaveyer..and..darker.. with some deep lyrics.. but most of that writing was done by the guitarist who has since left..and was replaced by the amazing talent that is Joe Anderson.. the guy is skilled.. and the lyrical content is coming from Jack and James I think.. and is of a much higher.. spiritual conetation.. they created a feel good sort of vibe..without loosing there integrity of being a serious band.. if there old stuff was that good..and this new stuff is just banging.. I'm like..if they keep doing what they are doing..then we will see a good few albums from them.. on the level and quality of bands like..the Doors.. pink Floyd.. talking heads. Like.. I believe pastel are that good..they are original.. true to themselves. Yet..I hear so many bands when I listen to them.. but the main band I hear.. is..Pastel. Best thing about for 20 years or more. Imo.. and a lot of others.. Still.. hopefully a long road ahead of them..hope you catch on mate.. we need good guys to be following them.. don't want dick heads turning up to gigs.. ya get me. Good tune and all, but your music videos can go for more than just singing to camera, live footage, and back stage screwing around. Get some women or something, like in the cigarettes and alcohol and don’t look back in anger music video. Maybe some shots of y’all playing in your back garden. Tell a story with a narrative.
