I actually picked up on them on FB as a Fan of pastel. It was one of those if you like Pastel you will like these guys and was blown away. It's so good to see the youth of today starting these bands and giving us 90's kids hope for indie guitar music.

Good to see a band that doesn’t have keyboards, and sounds like it’s a great thing. (No slam against bands who do have keyboards in the band, it’s that these guys don’t need them.)

They sound great. Haven’t heard or seen any British indie band like this since oasis, the verve, and all the other bands from the 90s. The lead singer has a voice combo of himself, Liam Gallagher, Richard Ashcroft, Kelly jones from stereophonics, and john power from cast. amazing to hear this type of music these days. They have the potential to be big ❤

Sounds a little too much like Oasis. I mean, their song, "Thinker", sounds very, very close to 'Don't go away'. They're young. I think, in time, they'll carve their own sound and style, hopefully. I wish them well. I just hope they don't get stuck in the past. Inspired? yes, as a launching point, but not sounding like the bands they love from the 90's, in my opinion.

this is what I came to say, the sound is great but it feels derivative.

I’ve heard of them in recent weeks as a ‘band to watch out for’. Whether they make it is another matter. Will they be the band who bring rock n roll or indie music back to life in the mainstream? Good luck. I like the early Oasis sounds of their rhythmic section and singer have obviously seen and heard Liam Gallagher before. I like that. Better to see a singer going for it, yeah. Up Marseille! The original band Marseille by the way featured television star Neil Buchanan - he of ‘Art Attack’ fame - try it yourself, indeed!

Hi James, I’m just wondering in terms of theory what would you call the scale or mode you used in the solo of sitting on a rooftop . I know it uses some jazz vocab because I’ve heard it in other songs but is there a name for the mode?

Yeah, it's alright. Needs rehearsing and a killer single. This isn't it, but keep going boys. Guitarists are fine, bass is fine, drummer was ok and the singer is cool. Rehearse rehearse rehearse, then just get pissed, pick three chords and smash out your own columbia. The blueprint may be 30 years old, but it's a good un. Slow down. Swagger it. Long outros. Best of luck all.

Sorry, but if the future of guitar music is just looping back around to the early 90s again, its probably time to stick the guitars away for a while. Not sure how long they've been going for, or what their other music is like, but that was just aching to be Definitely Maybe-era Oasis. Its been done, lads.

@@thom0906 Right after I watched this video, I did just that and checked out videos on their page. Too much Definitely Maybe-era Oasis, and pinching riffs from the likes of Sally Cinnamon and Las tracks. Sorry, but didn't Oasis blow all this out of the water 30 years ago?

Well, it’s not my kind of thing. But I’m hoping some of that kind of rock bands starts rising up too. I more like the downright and condensed rock n roll bands. None of rock music is around that I can tell. Although it sees bars and such aren’t as difficult anymore. Which is what killed off good bands when mine was together.
