No, not really if you are using good quality sanded paper, it can really take many layers and a variety of pressure. Thanks for asking!

Not really and I start out very thin and work towards the softer pastels. Most of the papers take a beating and lots of layers.

Unfortunately this paper is currently difficult to find. I recommend Uart, Pastelmat or Pastel Premier as good substitutes!

Now if someone could tell me how erase on Pastelmat, that would really be helpful, because none of these methods have have any effect on it. It seems once the pastelmat has pastel in it, it’s not going to let you get it out.

Galactic Vibrations You can use canned air to remove pastel chalk. Per my husband's suggestion, I tried using our garage air compressor. Short bursts of air did a good job of removing much of the chalk. Took off more than enough to be able to successfully rework the paper, plus using the compressor was much less expensive than buying canned air.

I used sanitising wipes recently....it worked really well on pastelmat paper
