This helped me so much because I could see once you started with pencils that yours too was a bit grainy. In trying to make it as smooth as the pans I was destroying my detail. Lesson learned. And once on the wall I can’t notice. Thank you 🤗

I'm fairly new to pastels, but I've had good success, I recently ordered a twenty pan set of Panpastel and some various papers, I'll soon order both Carbathello and Faber Castell Pitt, both in the sixty pencil sets. In the past, I never envisioned myself doing art that was so attractive.

I going to be joining your patreon shortly and have recently purchased the Jason Morgan wildlife set of Pan Pastels, however I am struggling at the moment. I bought the Pastelmat paper but don't seem to be able to get the same effect, it doesn't seem to go on as smoothly and it's shredding my Pan tools to pieces. Any tips?

Im going to join your Patreon now. I like the way you teach. I an used to graphite but want to do animals in colour. Ive invested in the full pitt pastel set and stabilo 48 set along with around 30 pan pastels and up to now all i am is frustrated. Ive done a cat which is decent but not great. I am used to going for as much realism as possible. I think if i can't get there with you as a teacher it means pastels aren't for me. Ive tried colour pencils and hated them. Far too slow for me. I don't want to spend 4 hours on an eye!
