It’s a very honest song, I’m still deciphering the meaning of this one. Almost like the road is calling him to leave but he can’t seem to tear himself away from her. Complaining about painting the house to make her happy when the floorboards are still creaking. “A life without you could never steal me now” setting the complaints and the urge to run free aside ultimately to intend to stick together. Freakin beautiful. OR maybe he’s a truck driver? When the floor boards creak she wakes up like the relationship has flaws that removes her from her peace. Painting the house don’t fix the floorboards. It’s underlying issues that every relationship has. Stick together!

I didn't plan to be sitting here until 2am but here I am... This music is the freshest thing I've heard in years. I am saddened only by the fact that it took so long to find this, I can't get enough. I hope health and prosperity keep you on their wings for a very long time. I can't wait to wake up tomorrow so I can listen to some more of this. Great, now I'm getting teary thinking of all the mistakes I've made in life to lead me here. I'm lucky to get another go at it all tomorrow.

Holy Crap. You can't fake this. She is a vision, and he has an inescapable honesty to his voice. This level of quality is a once in a generation occurrence. It might even be a one-in-a-lifetime talent. The only "problem" is that they make real music, so that limits their audience to people with actual taste. Buy their albums. I decided to skip breakfast for a week and bought them all instead. What a bargain.

As many have said they are mesmerizing. Humility. they never overplay, love one another and the music they play. they could shred every lick if they wanted to show off...… Like any great composer they know that the silence in a song is as important as the notes. Truly a match made in heaven! I wish them God's speed in all they do..

I haven't visited this video song since Febuary 27, 2019 during which time I had lost my baby Angel (am eskimo) of almost 14 yrs, she was born without eyes, so we had a strong bond , i was her eyes, she was my little companion, my Angel. my sister sent me this video back then and i wept over her passing for a long time, tore me up actually, and this song brought it home, could never listen to it again till just now, gets me a little choked up but, now its a sweet reminder of how special Angel was and I recognize the fact that God gave her to me to help me, little did i know that then, Thank you Father God Thank you Yeshua and Thank you my little Angel You were a very good girl.

@EXPLORING NORTH GEORGIA: I took a girl on a date to explore North Georgia with me back in 2002. I’m originally from Detroit but I moved to Marietta to try and go to school at Kennesaw. I was 22 and had to get financially/legally separated from parents status to even attend, since I wasn’t even in contact with them to get their tax returns. I had already been exploring up there a lot on my own. We followed the railroad line from Kennesaw to Adairsville, and then explored Barnsley Gardens. It was a fun date. 3 days ago we celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary. We’re looking to move from the West Coast back to North Georgia at the moment. It’s cool that in all this time that there are some parts that still haven’t changed much since 2002. I’m looking forward to returning soon. Cheers!

Take this heart of gold, and melt it down And I'll come around I'll come around I'm treadin' lightly in your eyes And honey I can't live a lie But a life without you could never steal me now [Verse 1] With so much time to spend Why paint this house again? When the floorboards creak and pull you from your slumber Well I'd hold you 'til the end But honey even oaks must bend If we intend to stick with one another [Chorus] So take this heart of gold, and melt it down And I'll come around I'll come around I'm treadin' lightly in your eyes And honey I can't live a lie But a life without you could never steal me now [Verse 2] Out the door, and down the drive There's a part of me that tries To keep that highway's call to me away And another, further still That sadly never will Feel at home, no matter how long I may stay
