Found this song on a Tyler Childers radio station on Spotify and man did it hit me right where it hurt but I also needed it, the catharsis. I was in the car driving back to the airport after visiting my grandparents lake house in Livingston, TX after 10 years away. Unfortunately when you’ve been gone as long as I had and your starting to get older the reasons you come back home are never good and this time it was to see my granny take her last ride. Sometimes music comes to you in times if need, and I really needed it then.

The kind of music that makes you feel as though you’ve lived before and been happy then in that life. In pain now, though remembering who we were before a loss.

One thing that might slip by you here- in addition to her large musical contribution, close-up , Emily is really beautiful, with a smile like sunshine. Just delightful. These folks give hope for us.

If you can't relate to a Mandolin Orange song then you've never lived, loved,or lost before and that's just impossible in this thing we all call life ...music will always be the foundation of a soul

Just like an old friend, kinder than expected That Cadillac came and gave our girl a ride Loss has no end, it binds to our connection We don't speak of it, we don't even try If you could help me to share the trouble That you've got burning in you, then you can help me And in our time together, her memory will ever Shine like golden embers in the night I miss the old hymns, when she used to sing The sparrows spread their mortal wings Now they've all lighted with the silence of strings Like notes on the pages, she breathed life into all things If you could help me to share the trouble That you've got burning in you, then you can help me And in our time together, her memory will ever Shine like golden embers in the night Just like an old friend, reach out to me Bathe me in the light of understanding Try to help me to share the trouble But you've got burned and then you, then you can help me And in our time together, her memory will ever Shine like golden embers in the night

You were the light when it was the darkest! I find all your songs uplifting and you should be proud of yourselves. Learning a instrument is a secluded and inward investment and isnt easy. Prince Edward Island Canada would love to hear and see you guys live hopefully soon. 👌

Andrew cracked a smile towards the end of the song. He seems like someone who is very hard on themselves and battling depression. With some people, our facial expressions often don't match our emotions...I am one of those people, so I think I can relate to him. I can certainly relate to his music.
