My neighbours does not appreciate listening to The Dead South with me. One time a security officer knocked on my door cause a neighbour had reported a disturbance. He told me to turn down the volume, and if it happens again it will cost me $250-500. I still blast their tunes but not on drunken sing-a-long late nights/early mornings in the middle of the week, haha.

That's a MIGHTY big stretch. Besides, 'best band,' 'best singer,' 'most talented,' etc., are all pointless. Which color is your favorite and why is it better than the others? Talent can be agreed upon, but "best" is way too subjective to be applied in music classification.

Beautiful lyrics It's been a long dark dirty road And pocket full of gold I've been out here now All on my own It's real quiet here Just the way I like it here There's no one to bother me Except In 1955, born into Wadena's pride I laid my head on that Milligan creek bed When I was a young man I helped build this land Oh, I put down these rails as a CPR man Thought I'd live forever With my heart in my pocket Oh, my gun by my side And my feelings in a locket Well, that was a cold year in '77 But I married my wife We had two kids I gave her a daughter She gave me a son And we rode those damn horses 'til we had none Fist still like flyin' Doing things for dyin' Oh, I should have put that old gun away Well I, I am a broken Cowboy And I don't feel right no more 'Cause I am a broken Cowboy Livin' life in the fast lane Racing cars and robbing trains I thought I had it all Then one day, I got the call A father's worst dream My son went down and I The colours deceive me As I see grey Oh, you're cutting me down with those Cold words you're saying Then you called me, brother But this can't be so, 'cause you Slander my name, anywhere the wind will blow Well, I am a broken cowboy And I don't feel right no more 'Cause I am a broken cowboy Yes, I am a broken cowboy It's been a long dark dirty road But a pocket full of gold And I've been out here now All on my own Well, it's real quiet here Just the way I like it here There's no one to bother me Except that old taunting tree

It's been a long dark dirty road And pocket full of gold I've been out here now All on my own It's real quiet here Just the way I like it here There's no one to bother me Except In 1955, born into Wadena's pride I laid my head on that Milligan creek bed When I was a young man I helped build this land Oh, I put down these rails as a CPR man Thought I'd live forever With my heart in my pocket Oh, my gun by my side And my feelings in a locket Well, that was a cold year in '77 But I married my wife We had two kids I gave her a daughter She gave me a son And we rode those damn horses 'til we had none Fist still like flyin' Doing things for dyin' Oh, I should have put that old gun away Well I, I am a broken Cowboy And I don't feel right no more 'Cause I am a broken Cowboy Livin' life in the fast lane Racing cars and robbing trains I thought I had it all Then one day, I got the call A father's worst dream My son went down and I The colours deceive me As I see grey Oh, you're cutting me down with those Cold words you're saying Then you called me, brother But this can't be so, 'cause you Slander my name, anywhere the wind will blow Well, I am a broken cowboy And I don't feel right no more 'Cause I am a broken cowboy Yes, I am a broken cowboy It's been a long dark dirty road But a pocket full of gold And I've been out here now All on my own Well, it's real quiet here Just the way I like it here There's no one to bother me Except that old taunting tree

Have mercy, I can't love these guys enough! Every I listen to a new song by them, I love them more! When they every do a concert, they ought to appreciate the people who are there, AND the ones who are NOT there, AND wish to heavens they were there, like me, so if they could give a shout out, at one of their concerts, to all the people who WISH they could come see them in person, they would sure make me feel honored, for one!

@@slothyone2424 I have and I do. That is not a bad thing, but we already have Chris, and SteelDrivers, and others going after that pseudo-bluegrass-rock sound.
@Brimst0ne_XB4 жыл бұрын
@@richardwallace6313 Not even close to Chris Stapleton 😂 They're definitely inspired by some bluegrass but they also have a classical sound. Especially when the cello player uses a bow as opposed to plucking it like a stand up bass in traditional bluegrass. The fiddle player also changes his sound to a more classical violin sound at times depending on the song. Same with the guitar player. They're much more diverse than a traditional bluegrass band. There's a wide variety of different sounds they cover. All that combined with this guy's very distinctive vocal style makes for a unique sound. And just for the record music is passed down from generation to generation. I hate to break it to you but Chris Stapleton isn't the grandfather of bluegrass. He was inspired by artists who were inspired by the generation before him. Are you seeing a pattern here? That's the cool part about new music. Every day there's a new musician born. And you can hear elements in their music from bands and genres that inspired them to play. You shouldn't dismiss that as *"Oh they're just a bunch of wanna be's!"* That's disrespectful as hell.

@@Brimst0ne_XB well said!. Except for the fiddler comment... Because there is no fiddler in Dead South. Lol
