Unsaved people have no idea what he's saying when he says "grace". There is so much to the concept of Gods grace. After being saved I found that the basic concepts of what I thought being Christian is ,was completely wrong. What actually being born again and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is. The Spirit of God literally abides in and communes with you with you. It's incredible. Coming to Christ is just the start.

Furthermore, the issue is that it causes simple thoughts to go "Well then the opposite is an oppressive, evil regime of judgmental Christianity". It's such a problem, now more than ever.

Never heard of this man in my life, but love this interview. And for those of you who don't understand the comparison between Harvey Weinstein and Hugh Hefner he's referring to the objectification of people, specifically. While Hugh's women were there on their own will, as a person of God you don't only look at the situation but you look at the root. The root cause of this deviant behavior that many of us accept as normal is lust and objectification of people. When you view porn, that person is no longer a person but an object to feed your lust. Point blank period. And just like he said from just a logical standpoint, it doesn't improve anyone's lives in the long term as far as we know.
@sharikamara3327 жыл бұрын
The objectification of women is what leads to Harvey-like situations. If you truly valued someone as a whole you wouldn’t think to do that to them. Hef has made a living off of objectifying women, only difference is he had their permission. But it’s the same culture, Hef just made it mainstream/normal.

The bible took stories from other tales. Noah's Ark is a story from "The Epic Of Gilgamesh". The 10 Commandments comes from the Egyptian's "42 Negative Confessions". That's WAY before Christianity came to be. Hell, there's even a quote in the bible about slaves obey their masters. Let me help you out there: Ephesians 6:5 "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ". And yet, you can't figure out that the bible is used for oppression? African-Americans to this day are still feeling the effects of "religion" Wars and murders have occurred because of religion. Look at The Crusades. The best way to control a group that you've have conquered is to get them to accept the beliefs that you feel is right. The game is the game. The bible has SO many contradictions, it's ridiculous.
@mlking2137 жыл бұрын
Or and hear me out...because the book has been used for oppression. You think great humans who live a fruitful life don’t exist without the Bible?
@joshuanartey58227 жыл бұрын
alex evans no it's the other way around what he did and a lot of pastors do is accuse people of cherry picking when they ask questions about the inconsistencies and hypocrisy of the verses in the Bible because he knows they are morally wrong and cannot be defended.He also in so many words tried to discredit the old testament to make the argument that we should follow Jesus..that's funny to me because Jesus did some controversial things as well as folks in the old testament.Like how he didn't condemn slavery which was the biggest flaw of society at that time instead he used it as reference to preach his teachings John 8:35 . And Paul who was also in the New testament told slaves to obey thier Masters Ephesians 6:5-11, Colossians 3:22-4

Dope! Heard Pastor Lenzt at Hillsong conference last night! Love that ya’ll ended in prayer!Btw:when Lentz said “the best is yet to come”, he is referring to Jesus not situations-meaning bc we have the “best” and HE is “the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow”- the BEST IS yet to come! Amen!

enjoyed this interview, love the way this pastor wasn't moved or didn't become defensive when the hosts didn't agree with him. As Christians, we don't have to prove that God and the Bible are real, we just need to live our lives in a way where this truth is irrefutable. In the end, the only thing that was left standing is who Jesus is and his love for all mankind. Great interview guys!

Only people who dont look at language would not understamd but a lerson who practice witchcraft knows what I am saying is truth. Most people who say they are spiritual really are avoiding not having a relationship with God and no Im not talking about any other names to replace God's name. This is just something to be aware of.

Charles: Ask Jesus to come into your heart & help you ‘see’ what you need to, so you can be who He wants you to. If you believe on Christ as your Risen Savior, that’s all you need to be saved by His blood sacrifice for you. Allow your heart to be open to His Holy Spirit to guide you. Be sorry for your sins against God & Jesus. Find a good, Non Denominational Bible teaching church & *study* His Word. Just reading it doesn’t do much, for many. If you have a Calvary Chapel by you, they are very good to learn in. They go line by line through the Word & have studies. Easy to understand. Don’t be swayed by glitz. Many are. Just keep asking Jesus to Reveal His Truth to you. Be Blessed by it.

Felt as if he was talking to me as I was just channel surfing. So I listened to that sermon and found him on Instagram. Now I will be purchasing his book after this interview. I was surprised to here him on The Breakfast Club and LOVE how eclectic your guests are. Thank you so much.

The Bible clearly states you must be a good employee to your bosses and also mention that employers must be fair and respectful to their employees. So again if you don't read the whole Bible and not use it to fit your lifestyle but instead use the Bible to change your lifestyle.

sophisticated Swanson what verse does it say this?
@Rashaadthegr87 жыл бұрын
So glad you asked my brother I have several verses for you. Ephesians 6:5-9; Colossians 3:22-25 and 1 Peter 2:18 just for starters.
@joshuanartey58227 жыл бұрын
😂😂I don't know what Bible you studying but Colossians 3:22 clearly states slaves obey your masters in everything and not only when they're watching you and also do it get favor and with reverence to the Lord.You see you switched slave masters with bosses they're not the same.
@joshuanartey58227 жыл бұрын
sophisticated Swanson 1 Peter 2:18 is 😂even worse it says slaves in fear of reverence to the Lord submit to your masters not only the good ones but even unto the inconsiderate and harsh ones..a very sick verse encouraging slavery and oppression
@Rashaadthegr87 жыл бұрын
Wow, you take everything literally. News flash slavery existed almost since the beginning of time by EVERY race. I switched it to bosses because guess what? wes free now sir (*slave impersonation voice) since1965 when African Americans officially got ALL our civil rights at least on paper. Thus, I don't have a master. But obviously, the verse is mentioning be respectful to those who have authority over you such as employers, bosses, police, etc. But not just there but everyone should follow the goldenr rule you were suppose to be taught since elementary school. I been blessed to work for people that are great. But most people hate their job and their bosses. So the verse about no matter how people treat you treat them nice. It's a Christian thing. I don't know what faith you subscribe too. You can't just treat people well when u feel like it but all the time. It's kind of what makes Christianity Christianity. Not to mention Epheisians 6:9 , if you read all the verses, says that employeers must respect to their employees and no favouritism as well.

Pastor Carl...you did a great job in my opinion and Ive been studyimg Gods Word for over 40 years. The only thing in this conversation with these sceptics I take issue with however is negating the Old Testament for the New Testament particularly when it came to the questions regarding homosexuality. Christians are called to love. The Bible is not a vehicle to hate and should never be used as such. I have a gay brother whom I love with all my heart but he has heard me tell him God cannot be pleased with his lifestyle nor in His holiness can condone it, just as He cannot condone my sin. Times changing does not change God's Word. The New Testament did not replace the Old. Remember Christ came to fulfill thr law. I believe the Word tells me that even should I have a propensity for a articular sin I must try in all ways to eradicate it from my life and not live a lifestyle of sin. God does not in any way shape or form condone homosexuality. A person may have those tendancies, and God loves the person, but if the persons lifestyle is such that a particular sin becomes part of their lives and they do zero to try to eradicate it the Holy Spirit cannot live in them and 5herefore they cannot be saved from the wrath to come. This point was very mushy in your replies as if you were attempting to not offend. Well Jesus offended many in His time on earth. Be straight up with these answers, trust God and give people the truth. Its the only thing that will make them and set them free. I wont even address your comments on porn, Matthew 5 says it all about that mess. Addiction to porn was part of the destruction of my long term marriage and there is never justification for that behavior or any other sin. But God SO LOVED the world He freely gave His son...not for 1 sin but for all. We are responsible for turning from a life of sin and honoring that sacrifice as best we humanly can in the power of the Holy Spirit.
