Besides Dawn’s recommendation i suggest you listen to Peter Hollens featuring Home Free on a cover of U2’s I STILL HAVEN’T FOUND WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR. it is a song about a man search for God and while he has soon faith he has not found what he looking for. There is always a message in Home Free's music. The live shows are heartwarming and uplifting. During summer 2020, with the political upheaval in the country, Home Free recorded Everybody Walkin This Land as a response. Tim Foust added a message at the end of the video .

In my whole life I have never favored a single band or singer. But for a good year now, I can't get away from these talented guys. Home Free - these are five extraordinary talents with fantastic voices. You can see in every video, hear in every song the fun and joy they have. I never thought that I would love an a cappella group( kind of a snob regarding my musical preferences). I kept seeing their KZbin videos and finally broke down and watched. First one was “How Great Thou Art”, second was “Man of Constant Sorrow”. That was 3 or 4 years ago, and I’ve been hooked. They call themselves a vocal BAND, and that’s why I love them; that’s how they construct their songs. They have an ability to strike chords that give you chills. I find that I feel better when I listen to them. I swear they are heaven sent.

I agree with you. They often sing such upbeat songs. They don’t mind being goofy too. And of course there are serious songs too but they’re all done so well. That’s why I love these guys. One of the greatest things about Home Free and their videos is, no matter the subject, they never denigrate anyone. They only uplift folks. In the Butts Remix, they took one of the most sexist subjects, men looking at women's bodies like objects, took out the sexism, and made it for everyone, even substituting shots of their own butts for the women's. It was so subtle, like that's just how the world should be. They don't preach. They just perform. I love these men.

I've enjoyed watching you become a Home Fry. Adam Chance sings the bass while Tim sings the lead and visa versa. This was Chance's first video with Home Free. i have loved home free for a long time and see them as often as i can. they are honest, down to earth, patriotic and very spirital. austin used to travel with his father who sang in a gospel quartet. this song resonates with me because i love to drive in my jeep with everything off just loving the beauty of God's world all around me. the spiritual high i get from that is fantastic and uplifting

Brother I can see your intrest in Home Free, Austin Brown was raised in a southern Baptist family and Tim Fouts Grandmother would sing and play Godspell music for him, Chance was raised in south Alabama on a farm learning about nature and Rob and Adam are the kind of people that could slip into any church and fit right in.

A church isn't a building a Church is inside of each and every one of us. The Church building is where believers get together to share and learn from each other. Love the way the Amish around here do their Church in each others homes. They only have a get together Church every otherweek the other Sunday is for visiting and family time with the Father holding a little prayer and Bible reading on those Sundays but on church Sundays each family brings what we would call a covered dish and have a shared meal.

I, personally, have been crushed by the church TWICE! Dear Pastor this isn't about this song/group but I put in a search for you and this popped up. I heard you react to Pentatonix and their cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah". I've been telling people it's not a Christian or Christmas song despite the word Hallelujah. If you read the lyrics and know that the man who wrote it was Jewish then you see the references of the old testament. In the old testament there are plenty of references and innuendo regarding relations between two adults (kept it clean in case kids read). I do like the song for this reason; in the lyrics it refers to a broken hallelujah. I believe that is more pleasing to our Lord than someone who's life is going great and simply says hallelujah. When a broken soul still looks to God with praise it's my personal opinion God hears that with great love. I'm not a preacher or biblical scholar, just a plain old Catholic who's had some tough times but doesn't blame my Lord. Stay safe and well. God bless.
