It seems like the guys who really like down streaming are more up north. I rarely encounter homes that have vinyl siding all over; most homes I encounter here in Houston are brick/wood siding. Seems like higher bleach ratios are needed for the brick than can be produced by down-streaming but that’s just my experience.

Hey Mike I've washed garbage trucks and roll out trash carts with a stationary machine, regular detergent (pink in color) got decent results, I wanted to get a small business going here in north eastern Pennsylvania but had the pump get frozen when the washer was left out overnight, I did get some stuff done around the house, like the dog yard fence, the front "summer" porch, vehicles, equipment etc, I had tried to just rinse some of the grime off the asbestos shingle siding but ended up taking the paint off 😅 regular tips wouldn't even shift any of the grime so I got a turbo nozzle and Whoops! There went the paint, ! I did try a mixture of Dawn dish soap and regular bleach on the siding but it didn't seem to work, but right now I need to get another pressure washer before I can do any more washing

I really appreciate your videos. I’m just a homeowner and not looking to get into the PW industry, but I still like learning about all of this. I have two questions for you. (1) I have a 3400 PSI 2.8 GPM machine. Is that sufficient for downstreaming my own house, or should I look at getting a 4 GPM unit someday to clean my house once or twice a year? (2) You mentioned an interesting point regarding the the bypass allowing more water to flow when rinsing due to less restriction of the water through the downstream injector. I could also just disconnect the injector when I’m rinsing my house after applying the SH, right? I can see the benefit of it for you pros, but is there any other reason to spend the money on a bypass just to wash my house once or twice a year?
@TheFreshRinse

You'll find your hose is too long to create draw. 165 FT seems to be the max length. If I try to D/S, when hooked up to the boiler, it wont draw due to the added length of the heater coil, which is about 43 meters, by pass that, & its all good.
@MannyAguilarJr
@MannyAguilarJr Жыл бұрын
On a 4 gpm you could go as little as a 0.057" or 1.5mm injector to get the strongest draw. the 1.5mm, 1.8mm, 2.1mm, 2.3mm, 2.5mm is the orifice size that's inside the injector. This varies your draw rate. Metric-Inches- similar tip size 1.45mm-0.057"-(5) 1.5mm-0.059"-(5.5) 1.6mm-0.063"-(6.25) 1.8mm-0.071"-(8) 2.1mm-0.083"-(11) 2.3mm-0.091"-(13) 2.5mm-0.098"-(16) The smaller the orifice means higher pressure which means a stronger draw through the venturi effect Also like an xjet your gpm is also going to vary your dilution ratio.

Do you ever have any issues with neighbours moaning about the smell of SH, or do you use a masking agent?

Is there a limit to how much SH you can downstream? For instance, if I wanted to do a house wash and then do the roof afterwards. Can you change the SH%?And is down streaming considered “soft wash” still?
@TheFreshRinse
@TheFreshRinse 15 күн бұрын
@@DevinB-n1j Great question. No sir, the strength of the SH when downstreaming will never be much more than 1%. That’s not near enough to wash a roof.
