True but also not quite. If the message actually sank in, they wouldn't be cheering bcz it's not a trivial matter to be a deceived christian. At the very least, they would acknowledge and appreciate how needed the message is. Them cheering just means they know (intellectually and not in their heart) what he said to be true.

I like how he preached repentance here. I do want to clarify though, repentance is by definition a change of mind (about sin and God for us). It's not a change of action. while driving I listened to a couple hours of Evangelism sermons. Here are some things I learned and some things from earlier. 1. Why do you pray for the salvation of someone you will not speak to about JESUS? 2. Confrontation (LOVINGLYhelps you grow. 3. You can not have a heart for the lost and go where they are and not tell them the gospel 4. JESUS talked to people most people would not get near. 5. GOD gives strength to the faint. 6. Every day we will be around people who are not promised tomorrow and may not be saved. 10. Will you tell JESUS: Here I am LORD send me? 11. GOD has promised us Souls and Boldness. 12. The good shepherd left the 99 and went to find the lost one. 13. Earnestly CONTEND for the Faith. We can not do that from the pews. 14. Compel them to come to the Banquet in Heaven. 15 Paul and Barnabas (and your name here) Waxed Bold. Waxed: to INCREASE in intensity, quantity ferventcy and Power 16. You people don't seem to understand. When you become a Christian. When you are born again. Life doesn't turn into sunshine and rainbows. It becomes harder, a lot harder. You become an enemy of the world. You now sit in Satan's temporary haven, amongst swine... more than there is good. Singled out with a beacon on your head telling the enemy here I am. Come get me. You are now a soldier of God in the fight. It's war from here on now. The sin you now recognise you have to repent from becomes a daily struggle. When you pick up that cross, prepare for the bood, sweat and tears that come with it. Just like our Lord endured. This is the message people do not want and did not like when it was first given by Christ himself. It's not the easy road, unlike the road to the world is.
