Ok.Most of us know well about these issues,don't worry.The things we long for are the beautiful parts that are lost in today's world.It's impossible to not romanticize such a romantic era (yes war is also a part of romantism because of all lost ones) By the way everything you said is continuing in an evolved modernized way.Get your head out of your ass and look at middle east,Europe,USA.Different forms of crap goes on.We can say at least at those days more people used to live for greater causes,they used to live with their honors.As a leftist,most today's left (which I don't want to call left) is nothing but insincere. Manners were also better.While racism was there,at the flip side of coin people were more respectful to each other. Way is eclecticism ,we long for qualities of first half of 20. century and we are thrilled to develope new cultures,technologies and so on.
