Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, and Kevin Wildes discuss the Los Angeles Lakers 115-105 loss to the Phoenix Suns. Nick weighs in on Pat Beverley shoving Deandre Ayton and explains Beverley needs to be out of the league based on his play and offensive numbers. The group then discuss Anthony Davis’ 37 Pts, 21 Reb in the loss to the Suns. Nick explains AD can be a top 8 player in the NBA even after LeBron returns.

I agree. Without PatBev I doubt this team would have any of the defensive backbone it's shown thus far this season, especially since their offensive shooting has been so bad. No its not. If you look at the play. Ayton was getting ready to turn away from Austin, that`s why he fell. Speaking for that, he could have hurt his own guy. Ayton is da** near 300 pounds. He steps back onto Austin`s hand or ankle and you are down a starter. Run up, get in the man`s face and if it turns physical at that point it gets physical. This is the second time he`s pushed someone in the back. He`s not an enforcer. He`s like 5'10, 180. At some point guys are actually big enough to be enforcers are going to start to going after AD, Austin, Walker etc and looking at Pat Bev saying ok come push me in my chest not my back. Come push me when I`m looking at you big fella. You have to understand, other guys on other teams see guys like Pat Bev do this and so "ok, we'll see when we go in there" He`s not Lebron or Steph where you know the league will come down on you if you touch them. Its Pat Bev.

Bad usage. For the most part he is a good three point shooter, but ONLY in wide open catch and shoot situations. This year he is pulling up, off the dribble, side stepping and whatnot - it is not his game. All those misses killed his mojo and now is in a slump. But you cant shovel dirt on him yet, I remember in the first year of the kawhi + pg era he started with 15% from 3 in the first 11 games and still finished the season at 39%. Fun fact: rn he is 0.001% worse from 3 than Lebron

Shannon knows how to paint quite the picture. Reaves was not helpless. Just like a bunch of players across the league they have to put a show on. It's entertainment, which means more revenue. Not saying Ayton was in the right, but Shannon is just a character on the screen getting more views. Ayton could have been hurt bad by the push. On the other hand Ayton was just standing there. Again, not saying it was right what Ayton did but Shannon made it seem like he was abusing Reaves or something. Shannon's whole also implies he thinks Reaves is weak.

He could have hurt Ayton. He could have hurt Reeves with Ayton falling on him. He didn't do it to back up his teammate, he did it to make a spectacle of himself. Beverley should be out of the league.

Interviewer: Is your offensive game underrated? Pat Bev:"Very, Very" I placed 2 bets in 2 games that Beverly could hit 3 points in the first half and he hit I think I shot in 2 games while starting, he gets wide open under the rim and gets scared of making a bad play and passes as soon as someone rotates over on him... Beverly you gotta bring that aggression that you show from Defense to your offense sometimes, make good plays but also show some aggressive scoring somehow!

Hard disagree. If a player is standing over an opposing player on the floor and the refs aren't calling a tech, the other team enforces. Either the ref enforces, or the team enforces. You don't get to have neither.

They were losing when they were playing an extremely tough schedule with virtually every team being a playoff team. This recent stretch has been against BAD teams. It's not a Lebron or No-Lebron situation, it's a Good Team vs. Bad Team situation.

Why is Nick talking about his stats and playing time? That has nothing to do with standing up for his teammates. I'd expect the guy you maybe have never heard of sitting at the end of the bench to stand up for his teammate. Your stats don't have to qualify whether or not you allow someone to disrespect a teammate be it on the court or the bench

Although I disagree with Nick, PatBev backing Reeves like that is a glue thing for everyone, answering though “does he help the Lakers win” question, not necessarily, I think we could’ve converted more out of the THT trade than just PatBev, just hope he can turn a couple gears and raise the 3pt% and steals that’s all we need from him
