After 79 yr. I still feel like a teenager listening to Pat!. Meant Pat at his house in 1962 and was lucky enough to meet Shirley. What a sweet, beautiful lady. What a dream come true..

Like Elvis, Pat had a measure of morals and values, and did not compromise them as a performer. In that, he was more successful than Elvis. Fascinating interview, and I wish it could’ve lasted longer.

Pat was wrong about Howard Cosell. He had no chance of being what Ed Sullivan was. Besides that by the time Howard’s show came on that type of variety show was dead.

@@patdoyle3686 the world is a big place. But there has to be somebody who is the biggest. And that would be the Beatles. Elvis, though he was popular all around the world was not the biggest because he never performed outside of the United States except for a handful of concerts in western Canada in the 1950s.
