Like Elvis, Pat had a measure of morals and values, and did not compromise them as a performer. In that, he was more successful than Elvis. Fascinating interview, and I wish it could’ve lasted longer.

Pat was wrong about Howard Cosell. He had no chance of being what Ed Sullivan was. Besides that by the time Howard’s show came on that type of variety show was dead.

Elvis, though he was popular all around the world was not the biggest because he never performed outside of the United States except for a handful of concerts in western Canada in the 1950s.
