I went to prison in 99 and during my stay there in Tdcj this song kept me going it made me realize just what I had out there in the "free world"...and that was my little girl...all that time running and gunning out in the streets ...no matter how much money I sent home, or how many gifts I bought all she ever wanted was her mommy...well I made it home to her, and 8 months later I lost my mom to cancer...I'm still with that little girl who's all grown up now and has a family of her own..this song will forever symbolize the strength, and hope that it takes to keep moving foward...and it comes upon you .."wave on wave"....thank you for never giving up on me Tiffany...and thanks for such a timeless song Mr.Pat Green..

It is November 16, 2023 @ 9:51 am & I have been playing this song, and when the woman above mentioned that she went to prison and was missing her little girl and then came home and lost her mom. I realized not only can I share the same story, but I had two children, a girl & a boy, and I came home and had very little time with my son who was diagnosed with bone cancer and passed away shortly after that. My soul was crushed again. Bad enough life lessons were learned a bit late for me, but that just took the wind out of my sails. I am forever grateful for my daughter who is still here, but man, do I miss my firstborn. So, yes, this song has so much meaning for me. Great job at the Iowa game. For those who don't know. This is the song Iowa plays while the fans are waving to the Iowa's Children's Hospital after the first qtr of each home game. Pat was there at halftime of the Iowa/Northern Iowa game to sing this song.

finalvoyage35 I’m not sure, I think Iowa chose the song wave on wave because it really reflects the wave and then he came for the live performance because of it, anyways the concert was great during halftime, and pat green and the band donated 55 thousand to the hospital so it made it even better. I don’t know if that helps but anyways have a good day

Im doing that very thing with my mom as i write this. I know a really awesome man, named Patrick, that sings this song and local jams, open mic, karoke bars, etc.. Hes a spiritual guy, with an amazing ability to explain the bible in a way almost anyone can understand.. And it'll keep u wanting him to teach u more and more.. The very first time i heard this awesome man sing this awesome song, i heard it louder than ive ever heard anything, it touched me deep in my soul, and it was more than 100% CLEAR that God was letting me know he is here for me, and for the first time, in a long, very difficult time in my life, i felt like things were going to be ok, and my life is worth living... I had been in a bad place, questioning if i shpuld give up on life. Praying to God to help me fix this feeling, it was more than obvious the way this song touched me, tears of joy flooded my face, and.from the top of my head, down to my toes, i felt God talking to me thru this song. Im so thankful for this awesome man and his awesome friends for playing and singing the coolest soul soothing few minutes of my life.. Bc it saved my life. Thanks GR81
