PAT LYNCH possibly the best singer i heard in my time watching the SHOWBANDS , he had a wonderful voice , and what him superior to other SHOWBAND singers he had an infectious personality on and off stage that was indicative of the place he came from CORK , , of course there were one or two good singers in around DUBLIN in those years but from a personality aspect they were pitiful and worked hard at been horrible fellas , PAT LYNCH had the voice and the charm and great presence and movement on stage , a real professional , , sadly i only discovered one week ago that he is no longer with us , very sad to find that out , so young , i wonder what happened to him , ? a rare singer , RIP JOHN HUNT

He was a great singer in his day. I will remember him for songs like The Streets of Dungannon, The Leaving of Liverpool, and The Irish Soldier Laddie. Thank god he sang them, or they would have been lost. His songs are needed more than ever now. This is the only film that I have seen of him.
