Guy Carbonneau threw it off of a third story balcony at Vinnie Paul Abbott'd house, of the Dallas Based metal band Pantera's house, in June of 1999 towards the pool. This was right after getting off the plane back from Buffalo after game 6. He shorts the cup toss, the cup bounces off of the side of the pool, dinging a massive dent into the bottom ring of the cup, and then it proceeds to land in the pool. After which, guys from the Stars and the boys from Pantera proceeded to dive on the cup, sinking it to the bottom or the pool. The story they told the press was that they dropped it getting off the plane. They still use the goal song "Puck Off!" Written by the Abbott brothers of Pantera for their 99 playoff run. Kuznetzsov snorted blow off of the cup after winning it in 2018.
