The pb is this brand100% built on online hype and at this point they are sure they can get away with the laziest shit as long as it's collectable. And I don't think they are wrong...but the quads or singles don't appeal as much to the collector crowd. Keep in mind they are not harvesting the tears of unicorns, their production costs are similar to brands like ND for the actual shadows, while a lot of their packaging is shockingly crappier (sticker art, crooked labels, cardboard folded unevenly, crap CP would not put in stores). Their products are so insanely overpriced that they can afford to not sell evth at initial sticker price.

It feels to me like Pat McGrath (the person) has really stepped back from Pat McGrath (the brand). Now I really have no proof that she was super involved at the beginning but those initial releases just had a creativity and spark that have been absent from the last 3 years at least. Whether you liked them or not, I would argue that all the Motherships up to the Divine Rose I (maybe II) had distinct points of view.

In the US, for the Halloween obsessed, July 5th is when spooky season starts because the 4th of July is the last major holiday before Halloween. Then there are those of us who like scary stuff all year round. Halloween decor hunting season can also start as early as mid June depending on where you live. If you are looking for unique greeny or earthy perfumes i HIGHLY recommend Black Baccara. It's an indie brand that's goth themed and i love the scent Frog's Breath. It's a limited summer release unfortunately but she has other greeny scents too. The scent smells like what the color green would smell like. It's like walking through a dark green misty magical forrest! 💚

The only criticism a brand will listen to is lack of sales. They are doing the same thing as Tom Fird and Nars etc,but those brands have the sense to make their palettes LE. PMG keeps all of hers around so you can see the similarities ,but if she only ever had one pinky mauve gold with a pop available at any one time,it wouldn't be so bad.

I am a fragrance collector (300+ and counting). Fragrance community has been bitten by the same bug beginning in around 2018 I would say. Before that it was slow releases. Currently niche perfumery releases so much that I can't keep up and need to filter what I buy. And I'm not talking about what's available on mass market websites (Sephora, Ulta, etc.), I'm talking about Luckyscent, Jovoy Paris, Essenza-Nobile, etc. It's just lately some mass niche brands are being introduced in makeup spaces more. Even the ARTWORK on the packaging is too similar on the new PMG palette to a former mothership palette that I thought it was the older palette! I was so confused when it was the sneak peek of this palette. It’s so sad bc at one point PMG was doing something different and new. Remember mothership 1?! (Pepperidge farm remembers!) Where are the blues, teals? Where are the cool tones that aren’t “wearable”? I would think that with the popularity of indie brands in the last few years (that are amazing for less than a mothership) that it would serve as inspiration to keep up with the innovation!

My expectations for the Colourpop collab was low, but somehow I was still let down like an Earth jutsu. It was just like any other collab they had with an IP. Where's the Orochimaru and Gaara eyeliners, the Tsunade lip gloss?? Honestly, the collab seemed to be for people who's still on the Chuunin Exam Arc and that aired when I was 5 years old lol.

My first reaction was to try to convince myself the collection isn’t bad, like the palette has colours for Sakura, Naruto, Sasuke and you can even say the left row is Kakashi’s colours (chuunin vest green…) - but really, it’s not a good collab palette. It’s not as bad as some others, the colours have at least some relation to the characters, but it could be a lot more colourful. Especially the Orochimaru and Gaara eyeliners so many people are mentioning, like you did.

Rituel de Fille actually has a lot of products in super interesting colors, I especially love their orange cream blush (and that one comes in a fun, bright yellow as well), green shifty highlighter, and a bunch of really cool vampy shades of their lipsticks ❤

That PMG palette got me stunned. This for me isn’t even a pink - I think an *actual pink* palette would go down like hot cakes. Or ice cream, we’re in the summer. With the filters on their instagram videos, it looked like it was going to be bright fuchsia, magenta, light cool pinks, deep berries and lavenders (the colours on the actual packaging, minus the repeat gold)… this would be a stunning colour story, especially with all the Barbie core craze going around. Bland peach, dumbed down pinks and the painful gold repeat is another iteration of boring. It feels that creative team needs something else in their lives…

Pat McGrath is famous for her highly editorial makeup looks in the fashion industry. She has worked with the best runway designers. (Example. Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel). Her first few palettes were groundbreaking for colors and formulas but I agree that if you didn’t know this she is looking like a pink man’s gold one trick pony lately. I love her mattes, and sheens, but oddly not her special shades. My taste is too basic, conventional and boring. I have MS 1, 3, 4, 7, and 8. And a 6-pan mattes palette. I’ve been waiting for something different and haven’t bought anything except blushes and the blur powder since MS 8 came out.

Highly recommend Rituel de Fille for anyone who loves brightly colored or unusual lip and cheek products. I love their highlighters (the green one is my favorite) and blush. Those lip things are a new release, they had just previously released them as a lab test batch in different colors. They're very hydrating, but I wish they kept the black shade.

I believe the first 5 big mothership palettes were very pretty with different color stories. I think a few had blacks in them but the entire palettes were different. Now 6-11 or whatever it is looks almost exactly the same. I have divine rose 2, hutopian dream, and moonlit seduction and the 3 are so similar I shouldn't have bought them all. The special shades are a bit different I suppose but you pretty much get very similar looks from each palette. I want something different

But I agree how the first half of her motherships were so different and beautiful, and then they all just became extremely similar color stories. I think that moonlit was the only one that has stood out in recent years.

Sydney Grace's Christmas in July sale is my favorite beauty event of the entire year!! That Heaven on Earth palette will absolutely be joining my collection, along with the Raspberry Kiss palette. Their mystery bags are always great too, the bags they come in are SO useful and high quality! I tend to place at least 4 orders every year. Mel Thompson is the person who introduced me to Sydney Grace, before she launched her collab palette in 2020. I own every palette they have come out with ever, and several hundred single eyeshadows. 😂😢😂😅 I am a clown for sure

I’m kind of nervous about Revolution, because it’s one of a few non-high-end makeup and skincare brands that I really love. But I also saw that there are a lot of items being sold out for the last time, especially professional ones, like liquid foundation pigments, and even wrote them a letter whether they are going to restock them or launch anything similar, and they quickly answered that unfortunately no. Being honest, if something happens with Revolution, I don’t now any other brand replacing it for me.

Re: Rituel de Fille, their formulas and delivery methods are all cream or liquid so they definitely rhyme with minimal makeup in that sense, but their colors can get really out there. Their aesthetic is very witchy and creative - think yellow blush and green highlighter.

I have very dry, mature skin so when I tried the Rituel de Fille Thorn oil (thanks to Theresa is Dead), I was amazed at not only how hydrated it felt but how it makes any makeup glide on to the skin and gives a beautiful finish. I use the oil, then sunscreen, then foundation. I wait a minute for each to sink in. I also picked up their 3-drop foundation but haven’t had the chance to really use it yet. Based on my experience so far, I would try the lip cream but I’m not into plumping products since they are too drying on my lips. Thanks, Angelica. Great video.😊

Literally ever single palette from Pat McGrath has almost exact same shade of brown/burgundy, some midtone shade that’s either mauve, pink or warm brown and a boring ivory dull shimmer. It’s insane to me and I feel like these are the only matte shades she’s able to produce? I dont even like the matte formula so really I’ve bought her palettes for her special shades but it’s truly not worth the price tag when indie brands exist

Agree 1000% on Pat McGrath and horror movies! Lol I was excited to see what the new palette was going to be cause I had that same thought that it would maybe be different, but alas… I was wrong. So disappointing. Also I always hear that her lip pencils are the best but I tried some and they are good but I like the Natasha Denona lip pencils way better! The formula is smoother and it lasts longer on me!

Angie you have to try the Givenchy loose blush in the name of science😊. I just got the mini of the loose powder and I love it. But I find it's better with the enclosed puff than with a brush which was surprising to me. Please get the orange one and use it on a GRWM. ❤

As someone who is SUPER into Fragrance, it's been this way for a few years. Lots of releases pretty quickly from the designer / mass houses. I think it's just becoming a more popular topic to speak on and fragrance influencers are becoming more mainstream.
