This was a cover of a 70s disco song. There was a 70s revival sound in the late 80s.

Pat Sharp & Mick Brown who were both DJ's at Capital Radio did cover versions which were produced by Stock Aitken and Waterman who would release a single annually iin the spring from 1988 to 1993. This was actually a UK top disco hit for the Michael Zager Band exactly 10 years earlier in 1978. This version peaked at no. 11 in early May 1988.

Esse foi um dos houses mais legais, que já produziram naquela época. Época que você contava os dias da semana ansioso, para chegar sábado, colocar a roupa mais bonita para ir para discoteca e se divertir, paquerar e namorar.

Someone just posted on fb the charts from the 90s - and there was P&M with I haven't stopped dancing yet - was surprised to learn that all these songs were done for Capital FMs children charity and according to wikipedia only i havebt stopped dancing ended up as a top 10! I so thought this was top 10!

As a little kid in the 80's, I still remember when this song came out and at around the same time, Pat was going through the then UK Top 20 Chart. This song was charted at around No.8. and upon Pat introducing it, he was like ''At Number 8, it's Me and Mick with Let's All Chant''. I have no idea why but I absolutely erupted into silly laughter at the way he introduced his song on air. Fun memories of great 80's times.

Lovely sweet memories of this track ! A very well done version of the original and i actually bought the 12 inch back then. Incredible how phat and warm the sound was those days, much better then nowadays cold digital sound. But, produced by the Golden Trio SA&W you couldnt go wrong ofcourse, those were real 80ties producer heroes. Many Thanks for the up !
