It's hard to describe how powerful this song was in the clubs. I just got so jazzed hearing again right now tears came to my eyes. When the first few bass lines began, it was if the crowd became entranced and rushed to the dance floor. Everyone got so happy it felt like a circus atmosphere. I guess it was the equivalent to having amazing sex. Or maybe the equivalent to riding the most exhilarating ride at Six Flags. And I'm not even exaggerating.......

I'm standing here in tears remembering all the friends I danced with in West Hollywood clubs and on world cruises who are long dead. Back then we were going to a memorial every month ... Sometimes every week or two. I'm on my FIFTH set of best friends & I can hardly wait to share this with them lol.... Lord a couple of them were only born in 1990🙀😹💋❤️ XoXo

I feel for you. I was in my early 20's then back in Nebraska and The Maxx in Omaha was one of the best gay dance clubs (I heard from many in the US) and this was a nightly anthem that brought everyone altogether. Such a banger for such a tumultuous time. I still try to focus on the glam, happiness and love every time I hear it.

Sandy Linzer and I wrote this in less than and hour. Linzer is a lyric writer in the Cole Porter class Also a fine melody man and a Grammy level producer. So writing this with him was a piece of cake. We knew we had a sensual Calypso feel so we wrote a lyric with layers of interpretation.. Done purposely.
