Eurgh, ridiculous. This is why I am instantly put off anything with their name on it and can't believe people still pour all that money into their hands when there are so many better examples of trainers around.

this horse will never go in a trailer again. making your horse panic so much that the trailer is his last way to escape the situation is actually the worst thing you can do. and they even laughed when the horse jumped out and ran away. hate seeing this.

Sue Williamson: It is normal to make mistakes. But that is no excuse. You must be especially careful about what you do, when other being's welfare depends on it (like feeding chocolate to a dog - an unexcusable mistake). And what is most appalling, is his arrogance throughout the process, his show-offing and how he stresses the horse absolutely unnecesarrily (especially at 0:50, when he even doesn't notice that he is hitting the horse with the stick). Blah, disgusting, this whole "keep it natural" thing.

In response to Inside Access to New! Jump Start DVD, (Parelli blocks me), I won't reserve mine right away!! As if thousands of people in the U.S. alone don't jump a single fence better than the Parelli featured rider every day of the week, and the Parelli idiots picked him to represent the pinnacle of show jumping achievement. It'd be funny if so many well-intentioned people weren't being sold a very expensive bill of goods for PNH crap, from its "college,"" to "horsenality."

YOU NEVER EVER WAVE YOUR HANDS AROUND A HORSE WITH A WHIP IN THEM!!! If nothing else, you're asking that horse to become whip shy or get hit in the face. Horses need to be desensitized to that stuff, in all my stables I rode at, I've NEVER seen someone wave a whip at a horse like that next to them. And one of the places the horses were ABUSED. I am horrified, that horse was terrified out of it's mind and he was showing the hell off too much to care. The horse ran at the end and people LAUGHED.

the end part when the horse literally jumps out trying to get away obviously shows he's done a great job with 'curing' his fear of trailers, yeah well done...

First, I can't believe he had the divider out so the horse could turn around. We teach them to go in okay, but also teach them to Stop and back out Before we let them all the way in. You all have to admit he has had his hands on a kajillion horses and had some great successes, but he isn't the worlds greatest, but he is pretty good, better than me.... We went to Road To The Horse last year and we thought he was an embarrassment to real horsemen. Anyway, I wish I had his Millions!!.

Good God, it gets worse. Can you believe the owner stands there grinning inanely? But the youngster got the last laugh on Parelli, just a pity he wasnt standing in the way when the horse jumped out!

Just amazed at how so many people think that if someone charges a lot, they must know what they're doing... unfortunately, for those who don't speak French, what Pat is saying about how to use a stick on a horse is drowned out by the translation, - if you think you're pi**ed with him now, I assure you you would be incandescent if you knew what he was boasting about with his 'method' of using a stick... (I DO speak French, so know what they translated)

And this guy or program was used to train my 3yr old paint I bought in august!? Im sorry as I dont like being mean but I will not use this program on my horses! Sorry but Im permenantly switching to Stacey Westfall, Clinton Anderson, or Sherry Cervi. Sure there are some good things about Parelli but NATURAL! horsemanship does not use whips! My horse is terrified of whips! Hmm I wonder why?..Natural horsemanship uses ONLY body language! YeaAll who dont agree can block me! But I Care For My Horse!

@86Horsechick I own horses and have for years. I also taught hunt seat equitation to many very good riders, including those who competed in Medal/Maclay, so my competence isn't in any legitimate doubt, but if you really think "Oat" Parelli's conduct here, meaning the insane way he loads the poor horse into the trailer, is an example of anything excellent, I hope YOU don't own horses.
@zeeva9013 жыл бұрын
is the guy taking idiot tablets? how cruel do u have to be? a horse will going into a trailer if u keep calm and positive, not by hitting the horse, making it scared of the trailer. spose if u give a man all the room in the world, it makes em think there the boss n they can do anything to who they want,whenever they want regardless of the fact that the animal or human has no defense.

Seriously, that Parelli crap does way more harm than good and the horses often have the last laugh (as this one did) - also, was the trailer actually attached to anything cos that's a serious NO NO from a safety POV and also horses know when something feels insecure under foot so if it wasn't attached, I think that's an amazing horse to load and that stupid woman doesn't deserve such a good horse. Scary to think that some people think this is acceptable and credible horse handling **headdesk**
@hannjenn11 жыл бұрын
One can call him a bad horseman looking at the Parellis' terrible record on the whole like: Remmer becoming crippled, West Point dying in a "freak accident," the Barney lunacy and the inexcusable abuse Pat "Oat" Parelli heaped upon Catwalk, including using a gum line and hauling one of that poor stallion's front legs off of the ground.
@hannjenn11 жыл бұрын
You all should go to the ParelliTube video titled "Jump Sart DVD." "Zonology"? These people are truly mad, and you can tell from the first footage of Linda "Rat" Parelli trotting on some horse that's probably now dead that, despite her endless access to quality horses and trainers, she just can't ride a lick.
@dejavusue11 жыл бұрын
This was just a simple mistake, anyone has made at least a mistake or two in their lives. You can't go calling him a bad horseman just because he had a little mistake! I bet all of you have made PLENTY of mistakes with your horses. Think about that, and if you want to judge somebody, judge yourself for crying out loud!
@dejavusue11 жыл бұрын
Parelli is actually a very good horseman... I did his dvd's and I can't even begin to explain to you how much it helped me and my mare. She was a major problem horse, and through out the dvd's, I never once had to 'bully' my horse into anything. It is all about patience and persistence. Try it, the results are AMAZING.
@misstaffy7711 жыл бұрын
What a total twat Pat Parelli is. Yes well, done, you've bullied a horse into a trailer. Once in there, it has a panic attack and leaps out again. Next time you try and load that horse it will hate it even more. How this is natural horsemanship I will never know. Just a bully in a cowboy hat. Stop making this tosser and his wife rich you idiots!!!
@hannjenn13 жыл бұрын
@Minstrel98 You're so right. The Parellis bully horses and then answer every criticism of their doings by accusing the critic of lacking sufficient knowledge and therefore failing to understand. This video is really revolting, although it perfectly illustrates that with Parelli, it's never about the horse because it's always about the Parellis.

@whisk29043 I think poor lady didn't dare say anything but she doesn' seem happy or relieved... more stressed and suffering from seing her horse in this bad situation... the smile is fake, her hands in one another to keep it together and confort herself... that's sad...
@hunterxjumper113 жыл бұрын
the horse only went in the trailer because he had nowhere else to go. everywhere else he went, he was smacked in the face. you shouldnt force a horse into a trailer. its very dangerous. the worst thing is that his owner stands by watching and smiling while a strange man whacks him with a stick.
@thomasfaltejsek14 жыл бұрын
The horse injured his left hind leg turning around and jumping off. And everyone laughs, ha ha, how fun. And another couple thousand dollars in Pat Parelli's pocket. If anyone actually ever gave him a hard horse to work with, he'd be a dead man, the way he positions himself.
@julietvalcouer14 жыл бұрын
Wow, what a moron. My old horse was a bad loader and every single thing the idiot did would have made the situation worse. And that demo would have been over the minute he started in whapping the poor thing's face. Way to make him headshy.

Well that's about the worst example of training a horse to load I've seen. He needs that bloody stick taking off him and preferably inserting where the sun doesn't shine!!

A war bridle and a whip. What? The war bridle stop working or the whip? So the obvious next step is to use them both.
