Pat Riley can say what ever needs to be said, period...He is one of the greatest basketball geniuses to ever grace this sport. Jimmy Butler is an all-star, when he feels the need to be. The fact that he hasn't played more than 64 games in a season in SEVEN freaking years is embarrassing! That shows the commitment is not there. No wonder why your team has a low seed for the playoffs, or has to win play-in games just to get in. He needs to be traded now, before he gets to walk away for nothing in return. Tyler Herro is extremely talented, but he's missed so many games - get in the weight room, build better endurance. Bam Adebayo is a terrific player, they should build around him.

From an organizational standpoint, Riley sent a message to the locker room, both to protect the guys who played their best even when the odds were against them, and also to remind everyone that talk is cheap, get things done and chirp later. As for Jimmy, he can say what he wants to say, but as they say, coulda woulda shoulda. He wasn't there playing. I'm not a fan of Riley either, and it remains to be seen whether he can wheel-and-deal for a better roster this offseason.
