Had the pleasure of meeting Pat after a Mr. Big show when they first started out. Such a cool cat and genuinely sweet guy. Here I am, a fan, talking to this awesome musician and somehow we got chatting about equipment and such. I am a guitar player, and he starts asking ME about my equipment and why I liked the stuff I use. In a short 5 minute after show "meet and greet" with fans, he showed more of a genuine interest in ME and what I play and use than people I'd known for years. That meeting really inspired me about not only being a musician, but how to treat people that come to see you play. Take care of yourself Mr. Torpey and stay as healthy as you can.

I used to think he could barely play, then I saw his drum solo in 1992. That was the end of that thought

@habbit0091 It's a song that came with my Mac. It's in my iMovie program. The name of the song is called "YEARBOOK". I imagine if you were making a video with iMovie and it was of someone in school, this would be a nice song to have as the background music, but it could be used for anything such as my drum videos. Thanks for watching. Keep Rockin' JOEDRUMS

I hope the guys just starting off becoming a sound man and the beginner drummers noticed he had his toms & snare wide open. They were tuned just right not all low like some guys whose toms all sound like muddy. The mics are nothing but electronic ears. They hear what you hear.

@habbit0091 I wouldn't have a problem sending you the song, but it's in a format the only the Mac can read through iMovie. It's in a caf format. I don't think windows has anything to play that file, I've tried with my PC's before. Sorry JOEDRUMS

All of us have a little bit of Pat Torpey inside our drumming. (It's what we intend)

Sounds like he's doing the Keith Carlock roll pattern ten years before Keith picked it up...
