My dad got 3 ft. potted trees every year of my childhood! 1959- 1972. Mostly pines, a few deodars. They were all planted and grew on the 2 1/2 acre property in Riverside.

When I got to go to a place that sells plants over a week ago, I found 4 garbage plants for 1;00, 3 are doing great, one not so much, but I'll keep watching it to see if it will live, one thing I did get, was a tiny Pony Tail Plant bulb with nice green leaves, it had fallen out of a pot of them, and was quite dry, but it looks like it's going to grow, I'm excited about that, I always wanted one. Now I have a very tiny one, can't wait to see it slowly grow.

We are seniors, in Canada, and we none of our family, will be exchanging presents, or having a Christmas dinner, as we are all broke. Our Government is killing us with taxes. as of April 1st the taxes Carbon Taxes we pay will be going up to 61% on every last thing we buy, and on all our monthly bills. Be Glad you don't live in Canada. I am lucky if I can go plant shopping for a plant once a month, price can't be over 10.00. But I still love my plants and enjoy what I have. I SERIOUSLY HOPE and PRAY things get better for you, as we really know what your situation is like. Not fun. I've just found your channel and am enjoying it very much. Thank You

"I'll Be Home For Christmas" always makes me cry too. Just avoid it. I like "Feliz Navidad" which was big in my childhood. For favorite Christmas songs it's between that and "A Partridge in a Pear Tree" which is completely old school but so fun to sing. There are so many horrible Christmas songs I'd be writing all day. Love your videos and sorry things are hard for you.

It's Amazing what GOOD plants you can find in the nurseries plant Garbage cans. I find a lot of good ones that way, do some re-hab on them and you have a nice free plant. They will give that stuff to you, or charge you next to nothing.

You are very Lucky, to have the huge selection of plant shops, and plants in big box stores, Plants we rarely see here, in Alberta, Canada, Would be fun to shop in places like that, just to see different varieties of plants. Our plant selections are terrible here.

My style is Old World. Dickens village, street lamps, candles, lots of greenery, dark colors & birds. Fireplace videos from YT on tv screen. Softest possible tiny warm white lights or peachy salt lamps. Pine & fireplace scented air. { 🎼🎶 That old Hallmark commercial with the big brother singing Oh Holy Night.)

Hello Pat! I get depressed this time of year too. And to make it worse, I live in Northwest Washington, where there's very little sun and the days are so short. Used to live in Seattle, where there was a fancy nursery like this one. I even went there once around this time one year to inspire my Christmas spirit! Any way, I used to make a living selling my art in galleries etc, and love color! But instead of red and green I decorate with teal/turquoise and alizarin/magenta as my two main colors. It is similar to but has a different vibe.

We love the traditional lights etc. for Christmas. But not putting a Tree up this year, only a very few little decorations, Nothing to put under a tree, so too much work when there's no gifts to put under it.
