2 months down there! - That's awesome. But again, sounds cold. Summer hits a little different in that region for sure!

Was it cold because it’s winter there ? Maybe in the summer it’s warmer ?

This was March, so late summer. Still cold… Jonny’s from Texas and Widny from Bogota Colombia. It basically felt like a Texas winter. 🥶

How did you book these tours? Any company that you would suggest? Anyway, there are Havanna alfajores at Jumbo in Atlantis, so you do not have to bring them from Argentina. Unless they have more flavors and stuff.

We had no idea that we could get some alfajores in Bogotá 😱 this is valuable information, thank you!!! There was a lot of research involved when looking for the tours and the direct tour operators as we didn’t want to book with a third party. For the boats we used: Turismo 21 de Mayo and Solo Expediciones. Our experience with both companies was really good! We also stayed at “Hostal Baquedano” in Puerto Natales and they provided lots of good info for us.

@@lifetheorycouple Thanks! There is also a joint called Alfajores Ventura which is owned by an argentinian guy and his colombian wife and they may have alfajores sometimes in Passaro which is also argentinian owned. Everything in Bizcocheria Les Amis is good, specially the empanadas but I have never seen alfajores in their counter. I do not know if they always have alfajores at Atlantis' Jumbo but I saw them last weekend, I hope they keep importing them.

We just tried the Alfajores Ventura the other week at the Papas de Los Saltados. They might just no be our favorite commercial brand. However, there is an Alfajor we ate in Uruguay that we continue to dream about, it was from a boutique cafe/tattoo parlor. - Great stuff! Thank you for this comment!
