Execellent lecture as someone who has just started her journey ... I wanted to learn yoga because it I. Theory was gonna give me more energy ( I am sorta phisically right now not in the best shape thought I know that's meant to change and the journey itself will be magnificent) then I realized yoga and meditation where connected coming from the west I thought yoga where only the exercises or asanas ... Then that it was so much more than that that the ultimate goal was enlightenment happiness peace ... I have learned a lot in the past few weeks I used to consider myself an atheist ...now I truly do not know... I would like to say I'm a not religious person but the more I dig into it the more I realize that I'm very inline with hinduism Buddhism Taoism only time will tell what will happen with my life for now I just wanna thank you for sharing ur knowledge with thebworld

I wonder about the classification of "ripples" into colored and uncolored mental items: how can not-colored mental items that promote the experience of pure consciousness be (one kind of ) "ripples", assumin that a ripple is something disturbing and unwanted. Anyone have a viewpoint?

Yes.. final state of yoga is beyond the mind.. to see the seer that sees our mind and body, we need to connect with the consciousness that is beyond the mind. Thus the mind has to be completely still ultimately.

Pure Consciousness is not an experience.

Sat or true yoga is all about Hindu Dharma. Patanjali was a Saiva Hindu Guru teaching young male Hindu Yogis in training.

Unfortunate that you have made this beautiful non-sectarian teachings into petty sexist indoctrination
