Some historians have theorized that he did it as a mockery against the senate--his message basically being "my horse can do better than you idiots!" Others believe it was a rumor spread after his death and still others think he was genuinely that crazy (considering his track record, that wouldn't be surprising). My personal favorite interpretation is one that combines all three; that he did it to mock the senate and that the senate got back at him after his death by painting it as an illustration of madness.

I realize that what pinky said at the start about "I love doing that but, I always forget to buff the chrome" Actually DOES fit with what brain says about studying history. Basically when you learn of past events and history as well, you need to "buff the chrome" or in other words. You need to focus on the true POSITIVES of the past, only increasing focus on truly good things. You know things that benefit everyone.

When playing back the show, after adjusting the tracking, you could Pause it but it was imprecise. It would take some timing to get such a quick flash on the screen to pause because it isn't instant the way pausing a video on KZbin is.
